Yea Florida's point system don't fuck around. And they don't expire. Do shit at 18? at 70 those points still exist if you get arrested.
The "Serving alcohol without a license" bullshit one was one of the ones dropped, as they kept insisting we was trying to setup a rave..or something. we 100% wasn't. That would have fucked me.
Was me and 2 friends, doing stupid shit buzzed. We got seen, well heard, because people could hear my speaker setup inside their houses around the park, and called the cops.
Hindsight letting a buzzed electrician, (allegedly) take the tamper proof screws out of light poles to work with live 220v lines...was stupid too.
Edit: But he might not have taken them off. Those access panels COULD have been missing when we got there!

This was an Edit #2, but it got long.
I don't think I've said anything that would screw my buddy. And it's the hump, how many state attorneys from florida prowl here?
All mine are finalized but one: Tampering with public utility works [a felony]. And well case wise speaking none of us did that. But of the 3 of us, I 100% wasn't the one of us that 'didn't' do that. So still fighting that one.
First cop on scene was cool about it was just going to give us some misdemeanor tickets, a court date, and let us leave. But a sergeant showed up, looked up my record while I was in his car and he was a HUGE dick about the whole thing after that.
He was just the expected 'by the books' cop until he saw I had a record, then I was treated like he just caught the neighborhood rapist or some shit. And started doing: What all can find to charge you with. He TRIED to charge me with possession of burglary tools [given my record], since I had a toolbag in the back of my jeep with prybars, hammers, drill with bits and shit. But my friend took the blame and said they were his tools (they was, and eventually those charges dropped).
He added all the 'techncially you COULD have been doing this' charges he could round up, I think to make my bond sky high. He knew most of it wouldn't stick. But it makes my bond, and lawyer cost go sky high when 2 felonies are added to 3 misdemeanors.
The hosting an unpermitted musical venue in a public area, and intending to serve alcohol without a license was dropped fairly quick the first round of my lawyer meeting with the SA.
Clearly that was outrageous charges. BUT loud boomy speakers, 2 fully automated club lights (the type that move and change color and all that) wired up and on the roof of my jeep gave him enough to have 'reasonable enough suspicion' to write down the charge for them.
I admitted to having 2 bottles of whiskey, Thank GOD they wasn't opened. Open container in vehicle would have been another charge. And probably a DUI. At least if florida if you ping on the breathalyzer and you got an empty beer can in your car..can be from months ago, they can be dicks and claim it COULD have been that you drank so you have a DUI and a open container charge.
Also admitted the speakers was mine (they are hardwired in my own car...), that the wire used to power the lights is indeed the wire off that spool of matching wire in my car. I have a 4/0 gauge speaker wire spool in my car from months ago. (well had, they took my wire spool into evidence, along with Rob's lights).
The other small shit I got caught to rights on was: Being in a closed park after hours, trespassing (double whammy for the closed park), driving a vehicle on park walkways (we drove into the park like 100 feet). And disturbing the peace.
So word of advice: If you end up hanging out getting a good buzz, and you 3 are nerdy guys that one likes loud music, the other is a stage tech with spare lights, and one is an electrician...don't do stupid shit.
It started with us just chilling playing music in my car then a "I got two spare motorized stage spotlights in my truck and the controllers. How awesome would it be to sync them to your bass?"...and bad ideas slowly followed.

Oh snap, sorry to hear all this DX. Wishing you the shortest and most uneventful time in there, hopefully without encountering too many pesky nutcases.
