Reviews seem to be all over the place. Some like it, others say it's clunky in both story and gameplay. Seems like Blooper improved overall, but didn't create a masterpiece.
If you like Dead Space this seems to be ok to give you a fix.

I've played about 4 hours or so of Cronos today. I think it's pretty good. Not clunky at all. Looks good, I really like the atmosphere and for me anyway I've had no performance issues. Runs pretty well. I'm running it 4k DLSS quality with everything on highest settings. I did turn off ray tracing because it's just not worth the performance hit as is usual.
Got through the first 3 hours earlier and overall I’m impressed.
Playing on PS5 Pro performance mode with zero issues.
Didn’t see any difficulty settings but the combat can be a challenge at times and resource and ammo management is quite essential.
It’s pretty slow and clunky and is more like Dead Space than I was expecting.
So far the game is very linear and I wish it was less so as it seem like a one and done with zero replay ability although I did hear there are 4 endings but I’m not sure I’d play it that much to see each one!
Game looks like shit, runs like shit, interface is shit. I don't care. Maybe it's a good game outside of that, but I'm not going to actually try to find out. There's nothing in the visuals that justifies it running this bad. This is honestly the worst running ue5 game I've played so far.
another game with the "let's make it weird" element which is find utterly generic. stuff is floating, things are dreamy/nonsensical/trippy. So sick of it because how lazy it is implemented these days.
In Stalker those elements were good because it's well balanced, its a cool story behind it etc.
Maybe they will expand on it, add some new modes or maybe by the end you end up with more ammo than the bare minimum so you can play it like a Doom game
Seems weird the game has no map but maybe it doesn’t need one since it’s so linear but I gotta say I do like the story and I’m very intrigued to see it through.
holy balls about the first "boss" you have the movement of a bus in first gear and you have to hit precise shots.... with limited ammo... come on bloober
when there is no more room in hell, the D34D will walk the earth

Good'o'Doom game... not like last two, where these is not enough ammo to make proper shootout

Hey dont be so hard the little console eunuchs, they need time to aim their lil vibratin thumbstick.
I had to stop playing for the day but fucking hell. I've hit a bit of a roadblock due to the ammo situation at a boss in the scrapyard. I'll have to get lucky to get past it.
Other than that, I'm really enjoying the game. Big thumbs up.
