About Fextralife and it's objectivity towards other large companies'... "products".

It belongs to Valnet (a company that also owns Gamerant, Polygon, OpenCritic and others), which has as parent an investment group called Valsef.

Didn't even knew Fetralife was more then a succesfull youtuber with some extra staff.

Valsef is a software private equity holding (and not a publishing one), checked it and as of today the don't own any gaming companies. In buisiness terms: they should, it would have great synergy with there gaming journalism branche Troll Dad

You'd be surprised how many youtubers are owned by big money. And I mean biiig.
The whole "single person in their bedroom" is now a "relatable aesthetic" that is adopted by businesses that can easily afford to shoot a blockbuster. Too many of them pop out of nowhere for a reason, viewbotting, surgically designed for analytics, big ad money.

Not just in gaming but in every other human interest as well.

I found the first game quite shallow and glossy. I'm not really expecting too much from this sequel. We'll see.

Yeah, pretty much that. Shallow, medicore, dull... I have only one good moment in the game, with power for settlement. Oh, and ship's computer was funny at times. Besides that... Nothing, totally nothing interesting, new or captivating.
I don't see how 2nd party is going to be better. Would be great to be suprised, but I doubt.

Capitalism Baed 2: Capitalism Badder?
Dunno even if it gets away from that I'd be interested since it still carries the first game's style.
