How they've failed this game is almost surreal, like they've hired an actual "talent" for it to fail.

It's really too bad... imagine this game, but just... good. It certainly has the setting, most of the systems are in place.

I'll absolutely give the modded game a try, in like a 1-3 years.

If you play this as 'Starfield Valley', it's structure is... understandable and can be enjoyable.

But people expected Fallout 4 + Skyrim in space.

Can't blame them, eh...

There’s rumour some kind of interplanetary travel is being implemented.
If they add this and better exploration, I’ll play it again.

In gamebryo engine? I find it very hard to believe.

I didn’t say anything about loading screens.
It will probably be interplanetary travel with loading screens lol.
It’s all speculative rumour at the moment so could mean anything or nothing Laughing

There is no competition for Microshit.

They simply reached a point where they don't (have to) give a fuck about absolutely anything.

They just do things the way they want to...

What a fucking mess this company must have turned into.

500(!!!) people and 7(!) years to develop this garbage, it's not even a ground breaking game in any way shape or form. morrowind took a team of 40 people and it took them 4 years with this new engine to them. It was a pretty ground breaking game at the time and some 24 years later people still play it, mods are still coming out on an almost daily basis, and people still praise it.

Give them a break, man!

They are still too busy spending their billions gained from selling the most average RPG on the planet Skyrim in 7 flavors...

Average script and story aside, they COULD turn the game around if there was:

• more challenge
• less predictability
• more world / location diversity
• more dynamic, unexpected stuff happening
• more fun in combat
• more fun in exploring
• more fun in building
• more fu...

Ehh fuck.

We need Starfield 2.

Yup. They're not going to be able to sneak it onto us like they did with the Oblivion remaster. I'm looking forward to the Fallout 3 remaster; it really needs it. The original is quite ancient at this point. Due to the FO3 engine being so antiquated it limits how much mods can improve it. I guess that's why someone tried to port it to.. uh, was it the FO4 or Skyrim engine?

Doubt.

IF(!) there will be another remake, they'll go with Fallout 4 or New Vegas.

And that's a big 'IF'!

Like it already happened with Oblivion, a standard 1:1ish UE remaster of Fallout 3 probably won't be enough to make me play through the game again without the Todd fatigue inevitably kicking in at some point. The fancy new visuals will be attractive and enjoyment will be had for a while, but their novelty factor will wear off as soon as one gets reminded of how fundamentally mundane the RPG aspects and writing are, no matter the mods used.

New Vegas on the other hand I'd happily replay for the third time in its remakemustarded form with the Bryomonster sitting underneath. The game's brilliant in my book, and it could definitely benefit from a proper lick o' paint + tweaks from the pre-existing mods (better gunplay, weather, basic mobility/sprinting etc.)

Lol fallout 4 is already modern enough. What a weird prediction. And new vegas is a obsidian game so they won't do anything. It's gonna be Fallout 3 for sure, if anything.

one would hope that they'd remaster new vegas first since season 2 of the show will be set in it. But I highly doubt they got that much tact. The predictable route of prioritizing titles based on their release date will be the way to go for a boring corpo like bethesda is these days. Oblivion > FO3 > maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe FO: NV (if todd can get over that it's better than any of his games)

One again, I must teach you...

Fallout 3:

• archaic (almost forgotten, as it was an average game)
• gameplay is too simple by today's standards
• too old for modern gamers

Fallout 4:

• gameplay systems are better
• crafting / building / survival are included (modern / contemporary 'tropes')
• more accessible for 'modern audiences'

Weird prediction, my ass... Rolling Eyes

But(!), IMO, there's a big fat chance they won't remake anything, considering their development 'speed' lately and "major interest" they have in pleasing their fans.

Oblivion falls within your fallout 3 category and i cannot grasp how you don't understand it... And again Fallout 4 is already modern Laughing If anything it's gonna be a quick special edition nonsense like Skyrim

There's 100% going to be a FO remake after the immense success of Oblivion Remake. Tons of leaks recently about the FO3 remake, like always no way to confirm since not official yet.

And i would put my bets on FO3 first, it makes the most sense. FO4 is too new. NV, no, maybe after FO3 if its a success.

FO3 has a big fan base, i know since i have mods for it so i can see the amount of downloads, mods comes out on a daily basis, the reddit is full of fans and discussions about the game too.
