I think they optimized it at one point for Let's Game It Out, so unless you go more insane than him, I'd say you're good no matter what you build Laughing

Made this "Three Mile Island" bcos apparently processing and procuring uranium is like the deadliest job in the galaxy. That tube transport lifted from oxygen not included probably Smile

That was long overdue.

I forgot about this game, I loved the time I had in it with a couple friends.

Only if it had procedural/random map. Granted it wouldn't be as visually lush as handmade always looks better. But I'm the type once I figure out the 'best' way to do and layout something, on repeat playthrough I can't help but repeat it no matter how hard I try thinking: Why do it different when I know the way I did it before was the most efficient I can get?

As my whole last playthrough was spending countless hours tweaking and refining belts/trains/ratios and distances between resources I need from known locations until I cannot get it any more efficient and streamlined.
So I end up trying something new on a fresh start, but end up building the same things, in the same places, with the same compacted optimized configs I did each time I play.

I play this like I played factorio I guess: Figure out the best, most compact, and highest throughput with least resources and belts/trains for this map layout you can manage. When I/we have everything and nothing left, restart on new map and repeat. But cant repeat here Sad Which is a shame (for me) as I love the gameplay.

yeah puts this leagues behind Factorio and every other factory game. i don't recall the terrain being particularly exciting in satisfactory so wouldn't miss it being handcrafted personally.
can't go back to the old static challenges like having a fixed map, particularly in a game of logic/efficiency.

with a bit of luck someone will manage to hack up a new map at some point, if it doesn't exist already.

I am willing to try it, but seeing the "endgame" makes me think it becomes too hectic and complex. My 2 brain cells can't handle too many stuff nowadays. Even in RimWorld had to pause the game every 5 secs. Laughing

It's actually much easier than it looks since the mechanics are defined and often automatized, but it's like having a second job Sad Laughing

Pretty much the same applies to Factorio also, they're well-oiled and polished games that bring the concept of time-wasting to a whole new level with no limits to creativity. They're as satisfying as you want them to be, though the by-the-numbers virtual worlds don't quite tickle my pickle since I like having some proper lore/narrative to complement the busywork, and Satisfactory's story content sadly is lighter than I expected in that regard.
