the way the game its structured with its time limit makes it hella intense to play through, it's also pretty difficult too. rare for a zombie game to have this intensity whilst also being fun
I was dealing with the dumb AI and suddenly got "The truth has vanished into the darkness" ( into the recycle bin ). 2 and 3 are much better than the first one.
Recently tried giving Dead Rising 2 a 3rd chance but it's one of the most frustrating games I ever played. Beginning with the walking/"running" like you are holding a shit, the basic weapons that break after 5 hits, crafting custom ones often need you to pick both parts and carry them separately to the crafting station! Then the dumb NPC's who always get caught by a zombie and need to be saved, when I am just trying to mission objective since fighting zombies is pointless, at least you don't fail the game if companions die, but it's so annoying trying to keep them alive.
And then one of the dumbest time-limited systems in existence! It kills exploring, but even if you want to speedrun... you can't because getting back earlier does nothing as the trash kid can get her medicine ONLY and EXACTLY 23-24 hours after the previous one...
Just couldn't endure this, even tho I really want to like the game. Even Eurojank games aren't as bad as this Japjank.
PS: Just read the 2nd game was actually made by a Canadian studio... But surely Capcom had been in control of the whole development.

Try DR3, it was hated on launch mostly because of the poor optimization and 30 fps cap.
But it is a better game with enough time to explore and do side stuff + you don't have to care for a stupid girl.
