HBO Max and Cartoon Network have given a straight-to-series order to Batman: Caped Crusader, an animated reimagining of the Batman mythology by way of Batman: The Animated Series‘ own Bruce Timm, with J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves also serving as EPs.

Do you want shitty batman? Or do you want an action packed, stylized, in depth batman? Much like the tas? And not like those latter ones with chibbi style bull shit.
JJ is a very good producer.
He never misses the mark with the concepts.
I just don’t like what he did with Star Trek and Star Wars to some extend, though they were entertaining and accessible. So I’ll irrationally hate everything he does.

You got alias, Cloverfield series, fringe, mission impossible movies, overlord, person of interest, almost human, lost, felicity and a few other I may be forgetting. Some successful, some cancelled after 1st season, some box office success stories and some not so much. But all are watchable and enjoyable for what they are.
It has potential.

Only odd ball is reeves. He may be a good director but he had made some odd choices producing wise. It looks like he either tags with jj or goes for interesting concepts that lack finesse upon execution.

All male policemen are incompetent or/and corrupt. Only competent people are women of color which most of are fat and lesbian.

This is actually spitting in womens faces. Turning them into something they're not in such a heavy handed way. It's basically telling them they're useless, but in fiction they can be something.
batman doesn't have good villains... WTF seriously. the best thing about batman IS probably the villains... INCLUDING female villains that are already there!! ... for fucks sake
The show is too anachronistic with it's character designs. For a show set in the 40s, the designs are too modern and almost every damn person is overweight making you wonder whether this universe bypassed the depression era. The stupid effect of the permanent shadow on character's faces looks bad.
You can see that the show is really trying to channel B:TAS but it can't. It takes one step forward and two steps back. Too many weird changes and this insistence to be set in the past is really dumb. Won't be surprised if it doesn't go beyond two seasons.
