Agree on toxicity (and just mindless idiots in general) in this game, disagree about Darktide. Just started playing the latter again after taking almost a year's break, and the community is absolutely decent, at least up to Heretic difficulty. And I do not see myself advancing any higher anyway, as it's just way too sweaty for no reason.
Is it? I saw they dropped a new update, but I haven't played since it came out (last played when only the microtransaction skin shop was functional, crafting was not ). Was thinking of getting back into it but had serious reservations given how much has probably changed. Might give it a shot again.

What mass refunds? 99.9% of players have played dozens/hundreds of hours. There's no refund, they're fucked.
steam will consider opening refunds because the game will become inoperable without the extra account required now. under EU law it's likely already refundable now so there's that too.

tbh i was thinking about buying helldivers 2 at spring sale even though i dont play mp games but well this ilmade me decide not to.
As an example: Rockstar had their rs club app, they turned it into a game launcher and later they turned it into a 6 month exclusivivity thing for gta trilogy remake. Now if gta 6 releases it might be exclusive on ps5 again and after that exclusive on rockstar's own platform and maybe later on epic and then on steam. This could have been avoided if people just all shat on the rockstarclub app when it wasnt it's own store/launcher. Besides the fact that they might collect data etc.
who is stopping sony to do the same and not pay the 30 per cent cut they themselves demand for their store.
