Sometimes the visuals and audio alone are enough, no need for action

No, Blade Runner is actually interesting, love the original and the new one.

Same director for Dune and Blade Runner 2049 but despite them being a snoozefest for some, I agree that those movies are worth it just for the visuals.

Loved nu blade runner.

New Dune was really bad like 3 hours and barely anything happens. Epic music and sand doesn't make up for boring. It's also super simple story wise, you could sum up that 3 hours in about 3 sentences.

Blade Runner 2049 is genuinely one of my favourite movies released in the past 10 years, it blew me away in how it effectively felt both old-school and modern at the same time. A beautiful anomaly that stood tall among a sea of derp, and that naturally flopped box-office-wise.

As for Dune, although I'm (relatively) new to the universe Part I indeed felt more lightweight than I was expecting, which left me a bit disappointed. Of course still immensely better than your average modern tripe-y A Superhollyhero production, thanks to the gorgeous sci-fi atmosphere and slow-paced narrative. Here's hoping Part II will add more ̶m̶e̶a̶t̶ spice to the bone.

Yeah, blade runner 2049 is amazing, much better than Dune(even the old one Razz), but i liked Dune, thought it was great, not amazing by any means.

I mean it was just the first part so i already knew what it was going to be basically, so going in with that maybe helps. Perfect tone, it really felt like Dune (and not as "this is our own take!" which is so common these days), great acting, great music and effects.

This movie looked and sounded great on my setup. The CGI for the sandworm was probably the best i've ever seen.

And here I will be a contrarian. I didn't really like the first one. The trailer for part 2 looks like AI-generated Dune with boring music. Razz Whirling cane

I thought it was because their ball sack sweat was fermenting from the heat in the desert. Could be wrong, though.

BTW, is this a new TV show? Scratch Head I can’t figure it out by looking at the title.

I so look forward to this one - i probably should rewatch the first one too.

So much better than then compiled version by David Lynch. Speaking of it, is it true that he did not even read the book before making the movie?

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.
