Well well well a bunch of mysopigs revealed themselves in here. I will now binge it and give these intelligent, strong and independent wahmen a fair shake
EDIT: So, from the first ep alone: True Detective: F.E.A.R. Edition? How close am I?

I had relatively low expectations for obvious reasons and yet, watching S04 till the end more often than not felt like a forehead-slapping championship - it truly makes even the flawed S02 look like rock-solid television in comparison. The story (or whatever that was) ranges from average to downright daft with its threads that are either pointless or devoid of any logic whatsoever, its paper-thin side characters and all the pseudo-supernatural elements triggered at random intervals reminiscent of those lowbrow 'spooky' flicks out there, without mentioning the obligatory dose of trivial melodrama that doesn't add anything valuable to the experience. A surprisingly dull thing that has little to no business being part of the TD franchise.
In the words of the great Volk himself, "That's it, DONE!"
This had absolutely zero to do with true detective aside from the little that was grafted on top of the regular story and characters
Ending and reveal was absolutely retarded and had me laughing out loud.
Pace for the last 3 eps was off, it felt like 2-3 times per ep that a logical place to end was there and it just kept going, some of character arcs don't make sense (both prior's), I just dunno what they were thinking.
I don't want to say this was thought up by some diversity hires buuuuuuut...

Back onboard for the ride is “True Detective: Night Country” showrunner Issa Lopez who has also signed an overall deal with HBO.
She will run the fifth season of the series after having taken over the franchise from creator Nic Pizzolatto. Lopez will also create and develop new projects for HBO.
Can't wait for another certified fresh 90+% Rotten Pear based on the Purepecha tribes during Dia De Los Muertos with Jenna Ortega, Sofia Vergara and Detective Awkwafina. Get ready for more rolling oranges, ghostly red herrings, animal smokescreens, dumb guilty men and omertose cleaning ladies!
Is this a film or a TV series? Can’t tell by just looking at the title I am sitting on the couch, I need to be spoonfed everything, can’t expect me to figure stuff for myself!
Looks like I did the right thing by waiting for the season to end before even watching the first episode
It's not that bad if you look at it as a stand alone show (except for the reveal an the final episode), but when compared to the other seasons it's the weakest of the bunch.
