No, names matter a lot. If Darth Vader was called Bad Man, or The Villain, it does not have the same impact as something more creative that sparks your imagination or interest for that character, or vehicle..
This is why we never see a villain called Bad Man (unless its a comedy). Because it's stupid, non-creative etc etc. You should read more books, or something.

No. They don't. They do for advertising. And world building and story building. But the latter can be changed with in story and in the world building.
Reason star wars name are catchy is because they're branding for toys. It works.

Boba fetts starship also works for marketing (though not a great one)
Slave 1 also works for advertising. But in current times reminding people of slavery doesn't work for advertising. It causes people to freak out, toys being pulled off shelves. It is preemptive and cautionary.
