So, went back to it, now that I have more time and.... The Alan Wake sections are really fucking good, the atmosphere, the writing all just much better then the adventures of Saga and Casey. Such a massive difference, also the city is just way better of a location then the forest. The forest can just fuck off, for all I care, its just a blurry, confusing mess of busy vegetation.

The forest and New York sections were too... 'gamey' for me. Not great, not terrible.
My favorite part was Bright Falls. Prob. because of the Twin Peaks throwback (just like AW1).
This game... doesn't click with me that much. It's good but... I prefer the more "coherent", very slowly unveiling and mysterious atmosphere from the first game.
I really like it when the reality and supernatural are only 'barely' intersecting.

| Spoiler: | Just finished it and fuck Saga. Black woman who at some point only cares about herself and her closest and keeps making it her whole damn character gets grating. I feel like this or angry black woman is the only 2 mature black females anyone ever create.
The funny thing is that i didn't hate her at all. In fact i did like her when she was just playing detective, but when she started brute forcing herself for real into a main protagonist at the end then i wanted to slap the shit out of her and Alan for suddenly becoming a bumbling fool who had to be "rescued"
Otherwise it was a grand game by Remedy yet again, just sad to see that political activism has seeped inside their company for real. |

Eh, considering she's still of swedish descent as a black woman, I'd say it was a lot more then a concept. But whatever, there are a lot more problems with her sections then race swapping, especially when it isn't a pre-established character.

it's playable on a 3060 with a mix of medium/high at 1440p DLSS Q.
That first forest intro section is the most intensive for some reason, the rest runs well enough not choppy at all.
also, restart the game if ur changing DLSS res for a proper performance. The game is a treat if you're a fan of Sam lake's shenanigans and the NYC section made me jizz my pants thinking about that max payne remake.

Yeah, the NYC section were really good, and the bit that sold it to me was the second time going in as Alan Wake, with the Herald of Darkness song, all that was a surreal experience and I absolutely loved it. After that I will finish this game regardless of what happens next cause that was just great.

Can somebody please do a 1080p 60FPS recording of the game over screen?.. From the moment you're being hit till the FMV ends, and if it has a menu or "Continue?" or something even better
Also, does dying as the FBI agent changes the game over screen, or it's the same as if ya play as Alan?
About to start the game but found out that it's horrifying and i've saw the death for Alan on YT but it's badly recorded (Either a Short done vertically or they put a random vid at the end for the lulz)

Haven't finished the game yet but things like "other races are breathing" can trigger some people into a fit and make them feel existentially threatened.
I haven't seen anything woke or insulting towards anyone yet, just probably the best animated face mocap I've seen of people talking like people
