I didn't enjoyed it. Maybe I'm getting too old for build games.
The lack of variety in enemies and lackluster weapons didn't help it either.

Youre not. I didn't enjoy it either. Its really a mediocre shooter. Nowhere as good as duke, SW or b1.

It looks like the expansion will be released tomorrow:

I actually had a pretty great time with the base game Razz - it wasn't perfect and became a bit dull in the second half, still, it's one of the few nuretro first-person shooters that manages to nail the classic formula both in terms of approach and non-linear level design.

this game was great. a few too many sewer levels for my taste though. wish they leaned more into the cyberpunk urban setting. Awesome music as well.
Weapons were great... one of the best shotguns i've used in an fps.. those bowling bowl grenades physics were very wonky. Those cluster mines were satisfying AF.

This wiped the floor with shadow warrior and i'd put it one step below duke 3d and Blood, though Blood if you actually play it through is overrated, gets worse the farther you get into it... nothing has ever beat or will beat the dynamite in that game, nor its physics and sfx. absolutely nailed it.

I dunno about this expansion, have they announced pricing? Gman got through it in 4 hours which sounds piddly if its gonna be 30 bux.

This DLC was reasonably good, maybe too many nu-weapons that throws the balance of but still enjoyable.

Except actually publishing decent games. Ion fury is good, the halflife era phantom fury looks good, tempest rising a proper cnc/sc rts game looks good (probably last bigger budget game I'll play this year).

I also like how they are setting the games in same universe, tempest rising GDF are the antagonists in Ion Fury.

Same with Devolver, they publish small Indy projects that are generally innovative..

Durr I only buy Acti/EA/Ubisoft garbage and games suck!! lol wut

Not a fan of the maps so far tbh, too open. I don't want to be stuck in sewers for a 1/4 of the game but i also don't feel like i need to snipe enemies from far away to optimally play the game.

It's not as good as the original campaign, the additional weapons are fun but throw the game balance out.

..why you now make the shotgun the worst and least satisfying gun in the game Confused
also your biggest enemy / challenge is using the new weapons and not killing yourself.

I think for this game the world they've created is pretty nice. It's a cyberpunk mixed with pop-culture with female duke. Apparently this was all designed in the late 90's, hoping to see cross-over and references in Tempest Rising.

Shame that 3D REALMS announced the game for GOG but haven't released it over there yet because "Ohhhh the bug fixes, we should wait for STEAM's GUINEA PIGS to do the job for us"

.... Atleast up the game on GOG and whenever shit's found you can fix it later and not wait +1 week to release, ASSHOLES...
