This is fine. Sucks for the guys working on the game, but there really wasn't a need to remake KOTOR. Why not just come up with aa new game a couple hundred years before KOTOR. I'd say do it after but I think the TOR MMO shat on the storyline with Revan coming back as the big bad or something which kinda renders the canon ending not canon?

Doing a remaster since i think the game deserves one and we dont seem to be getting one. 1600 textures are done so far. the game has over 3K textures but almost half are super tiny textures that i likely wont touch since they wont look better in higher resolutions anyways.

overall the game hasn't aged too badly (released in 2003) i think.

Making the textures have more detailed certainly helps the environments, making them look a little less dull to look at.

Yes indeed Smile Recently updated my model with many new clothing textures, so clothes looks really natural now (folds, stitchings etc), metal surfaces also got a slight update.

Yes, it's a fine tuned Stable Diffusion XL model. Kind of outdated to still use SDXL perhaps but whatever, the results are pretty good.

Carth with very detailed clothing



i've also recreated all implant/weapon/belt textures, originals are 128x128 and are very blurry in-game.. didn't think it would be possible to make something with such tiny textures but it seems to have worked out after upscaling, trying various things

You can use RTGI too for Reshade (OpenGL).
RTGI is beyond paywall but like many times our friends at cs.rin.ru might be able to help Wink

Yeah. they just do it very fast fort profit and not from genuinely wanting to do something truly good Sad

I want it mainly to look good for my own playthrough, that's how all my mods start, so it is always coming from a genuine place of "i want it to look as good as possible."

Even Topaz GigaPixel has this built in right now, so there's really no excuse for them. Though i would still say my model looks better for doing stuff like walls and damage decals, realistic clothing and metal + some other stuff. My fine tuned model is not that good for faces.
