is there any way to not backtrack? I chose a sword as first weapon and i found out i need the mace for some places which seems odd given sword wasnt a requirement anywhere but the mace was..., i found it later somewhere far away and now i have to go back, there is no way to "teleport" to other locations?
Man this sequel sucks. Same stupid puzzles the whole game over and over again-activate the glowing green statue to move a platform, teleport through mirrors with your dual wield fencing swords, switch weapons midair to standard sword and smashing downward attack to break the barrier. Literally done this 15 times and im not even halfway through the game. Alternatively, smash a gong/bell with your hammer and chain and rush to the timed door.. also done that about 10 times.
First one wasn't amazing but it was solid and at least felt like it had a good concept/vision. This one just feels generic AF. Bosses have been a letdown as well.. i thought i'd hate the cutscenes the most but they're actually fine even in the anime style.. they also softened up the pixelization of the gfx to better match the cinematics. One of the biggest annoyances is the British accents everywhere even though the world is inspired by (1400s-1500s?) Spain.
The bright spot is the soundtrack-still sounds great with all the Spanish guitar. I think i'm done after 5 or 6 hours.
