Cavill is probably too busy with all the upcoming Superman stuff and did this so he can possibly play James Bond. I bet Netflix probably was also looking to cut the budget otherwise they would have just canceled the show.

I actually couldn't even force myself to watch Season 2, it was so shite. Hence, I'm glad Cavill is stepping away, as this show is clearly beneath him.
Hoping to see him in a WH40K series one day...
