Pffft, okay, sooooo CBT for those only who dish out some cash?

WTF is this trend among "f2p" games nowadays...

Also, their move to f2p and "compensating" the idiots who bought the EA version will surely start a nice cringefest/backlash.

Why would this start a backlash? It's not like is new information anyway.

Well, if I were stupid enough to buy a product in EA, which then turns into f2p, and all I get as a way of compensation is CBT access... I'd be pissed, to say the least.

Not my problem, though, I don't buy games, and defo nothing in EA. Still, this kind of customer treatment is shite.

Well, I'm glad you are so smart you don't buy EA products, yet you don't know how to read. Laughing

I don't regard e-penis-increasing in-game "goodies" as compensation:

Quote:
We know that many players purchased World War 3 when it was previously available in Early Access. As thanks for your incredible support, we’re delighted to offer a free Veteran Pack to all players who purchased the game before October 4, 2021! Credited directly to your game account on Steam, you'll receive guaranteed CBT access plus exclusive gear (available in the OBT) to show off your veterancy on the battlefield.

And only available during the CBT. Laughing But w/e, I can't read, sure.

If you clicked the link they provide you'll see that EA users get:
- Lieutenant pack (49.99$)
- Veteran exclusive cosmetics

The fact that you care or don't is absolutely irrelevant. They are rewarding Early Access players with items that remain within the boundaries of a soon to be free to play title.

Downloading... and it is slow. No chance to play but it is said it is now free2play.
Can't check this out... still 3hrs from being complete.
Strange that you add game on Steam to library but you download only ~200MB launcher. Rest being downloaded after installing said launcher. No idea why they didn't want to have in store on Steam, but I guess download would be much faster then.

They partnered with a terrible publisher and are forced to use this crappy launcher.

I see, makes sense :/

Anyway it took me some time to get in to the game. Interface initialization was stuck many times at 53%, plenty of posts about that on Steam forum, but finally got it.
10mins of the game so it is not review, but I like shooting. Unfortunately lacks some of WZ/COD movement smoothness, but maybe there are no dolphin divers thanks to that.

Same launch as last time.
Server issues almost all the time.
Daily maintenances 2-3 hours.

LOL

These devs are a joke. The issues above had already been present and a nuisance before I stopped playing some half a year ago.

They have been from the get go - ever since they scammed their way into Steam early access, what was it, all the way back in 2018? The thing is, they somehow managed to amass legions of adoring apologists. Nobody ever called them out on their bullshit practices / general incompetence - here we are 4 years later - this is the result.

Then again, the bar for free-to-play is so low that, once again, none of this will matter.

I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

It's astonishing to me how they didn't manage to fix the big problems from 4 years ago while still keeping the game mostly the same. They are selling with premium currency what used to be unlockable skins in the past. Laughing

The maps have been slightly reworked to make them smaller, no new guns have been added, some things have been streamlined and the sound has been reworked. That's about it. The last 4 months have been constant maintenances. The partnership with My Games has also forced this trash launcher on us and now they try to hide the partnership with some proxy publishers.

It's a shame, the game has some cool mechanics and it's the best of both worlds, CoD and Battlefield.
