I wish that was the case. It's not the early 2000's anymore. Now we have paid influencers and reviewers fake reviewing games. Not to mention that people buy what they want to play and don't have a single clue about port qualities etc. And it never helps during months of game starvations either.
I mean it has been years since people played unchartered. they'll claim it's a poor port and play the PlayStation version and it'll be the same garbage lol.
Play as Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer in their own standalone adventures as they are forced to confront their pasts and forge their own legacies. The UNCHARTED™: Legacy of Thieves Collection includes the critically acclaimed single-player stories from both UNCHARTED™ 4: A Thief’s End and UNCHARTED™: The Lost Legacy, coming to PC for the first time.
Pre-purchase now for PC on Steam and Epic Games Store.
Weird decision not to release the Nathan Drake Collection before, PC players could enjoy those as well. You can play just U4 and Lost Legacy since iirc every game has it's own adventure and villains, But playing the first games will let you get knowing the main characters which are in all the games.

Yeah, when I heard the news regarding the pc release at the very beginning I thought the collection was all four games. Not bringing over the older games is just fucking dumb

They're getting close to having the Xbox version (aka the superior version) at a locked 60FPS with little issues, patient bear is going to be rewarded soon

You can bet your ass it's a very conscious decision in order to milk the thing out properly
R5 5600X - 3070FE - 16GB DDR4 3600 - Asus B550 TUF Gaming Plus - BeQuiet Straight Power 11 750W - Pure Base 500DX
I bought that older collection since i never played them... ended up selling it after playing U4, i looked at the graphics and uh, no thanks. I honestly think too much of the appeal here is in the graphics (shallow as it may seem). I did really, really enjoy my time with U4 and its a game i might replay too once it comes out for PC.
RDR1 still looks good to me, i'd love to play that with just better resolution and FPS. Wouldn't mind better draw distance and better textures either but it wouldn't even be a must.
I think it's worse then RDR not releasing before RDR2, as 2 is a prequel, you can play 2 and then RDR i think. Also doesn't RDR have some code issue?
Uncharted 1-3 have you see how characters met, so i would want to play them before playing 4.
About milking the series... they could release 1-3 first and 4 and LL afterwards. Make no sense to release 4 and later 1-3.
this is not the first franchise to not release previous games on pc so....
but probably they didnt couse they just dont look up to 2022 standard, people would complain it looks shit or whatever. maybe they will do a remake just like tlou1
Hi Pey. How's the port ? Raw mouse input ? Does it have some traversal stutters ? I see some folks claiming some stutter, but it's unclear if it's because the game needs more than 8 gigs of vram at 4k or it's shader compilation/traversal stutters instead.

The port is really good. Raw mouse input is there since the game doesn't have fullscreen (only windowed and borderless fullscreen like the God of War port). No stutters here at all, but I'm playing with a RTX 3080 Ti (12gb) and dedicated memory usage according to RivaTuner is close to 10GB, at least in Lost Legacy which is a big open-world map. Shader compilation is done individually before starting each game.
You're in for a ride, loved this game. The graphics are unprecedented imo. By that i mean the amount of detail that has been put into the 3D assets, there's a mind-boggling amount of them.. The lighting is also really good. Pacing is good.
I liked the attention to detail overall, like if a scene has you on a boat, but the level doesn't require you to do any swimming at all, you can still swim and dive if you want. In many ways that's better done than in many open world games where they just couldn't be arsed to include it.
One of very, very few games i've actually finished
The fact that this bullshit is 130 gigs actually made me cough up the dough on cdkeys for it. That type of size on trackers is 130 gigs for archives, another 130 for iso and another 130 to install. And the numerous patches that will 100% come, forget about it
nobody uses archives these days, and there are also steamrips that are just that, already installed, updates also easy to apply and to find if u know where to look
Every scene tracker uses the standard archiving system thats in place since forever. Im sure rips and repacks will follow suit, but that's later down the line. Huge installs like this one are just more convenient to have on steam.
Now, you may be wondering why we didn’t start with the original Uncharted. We felt that, while Nathan Drake’s first three adventures from the PlayStation 3 console still stand the test of time narratively, they would require a major overhaul visually to stand-up to modern PC releases and the expectations players may have.

Iron Galaxy offered a partner we could trust would deliver a high-quality version of these two Uncharted games, and with whom we could work closely to better understand PC development while internally staying focused on current and future projects and bringing them to PC as well.

We also knew this PC release wasn’t going to be a one-off.
