Bit of an OT rant but here goes -

You don't know the half of it! Those AVN developers on Patreon pull in SERIOUS bucks, with shoddy (sometimes non-existent) release schedules, and often keep a project going for several years (if it ever gets finished at all).
A prime example of this is the guy behind Summertime Saga - that game has been in development for like three or four years now, he releases MAYBE 3 "updates" a year. Hand drawn/colored graphics, simple sound effects, RenPY engine. The dude has been pulling $70,000 USD PER MONTH for who knows how long now. It's batshit insane. Technically not a scam as he does release something, but goddamn is that a golden goose.
