Wow, it's pretty impressive that they'll manage to release a new season only 12 months after the last one with the year that we've had because of the pandemic.

They wrapped everything before the pandemic hit. But it's likely we're gonna have to wait until 2022 for Season 6.

Very Happy Now even more kudos to them

I was reading that they filmed a bunch of little side stories this last season that are only available using that Prime X-Ray feature on the website or mobile currently. Maybe once they have all the episodes out they will make it easier to watch those too as many people probably do not even know they exist.

Aaaand Drummer steals the show again, this time with an awesome speech So Much Win

I have a bad feeling that she will be a goner before the end of the series Sad

On a side note, I hadn't seen Kathleen Robertson since Boss (a bit thicker now Laughing), I think she's doing a great job here as Inaros's second in command.

Haven't seen S5 on Bluray yet like previous seasons. Wonder if they'll release the last two simultaneously maybe? 4K would be nice also.

Your loss Aww Yeah

This is one of my favorite tv-shows of all time, and each season (although not perfect) really delivered and never 'jumped the shark'. Sci-fi that relies on action and pew pew is not good sci-fi anyway Smile

There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

Rolling Eyes ^ but rates bobbafett and marvel tv shows please..

Great finale, I reckon better than BSG overall. Not much left in SciFi genre worth watching at the moment, Foundation was kinda disappointing.

Foundation was terrible. Raised by Wolves had problems, but it's promising for season 2 imho. The Expanse is excellent, will be sorely missed.

I do? Any proof of that?

There's been one really good Sci-Fi (space themed) TV-show and that's BSG, imo. Expanse is a total joke in comparison. Yes i will put it above something like Star Gate (laughable show), and yes i guess i'm picky Wink (if you've read a lot of good sci-fi you do become picky).

Then there's some decent animated ones (like Clone Wars) + some animes perhaps (still haven't gotten around to completing any of those).

I did enjoy the writing in BSG a lot, but to say The Expanse is a total joke... man, that's harsh. Second, third and fifth season are really well done in that department, not to speak about the sci-fi aspects and the space combat. C'mon vurt!

how is BSG more woke than anything else?

Again, Expanse is above a lot of other space themed sci-fi, it's probably even the second best space themed sci-fi show. Unfortunately that doesn't say a lot about quality since the quality of the other shows are extremely bad (i mean shit like Star Gate which basically is Xena in space in terms of writing, acting.. same with Firefly - another super overrated sci-fi show).

Gender bending characters.
Making it all about an ideology.
All about female empowerment.
It's just as woke as current sci fi shit.

Expanse has deep lore.
BSG does not. It has a spin off attempting at deep lore and it fails.
Only good thing bsg did was give us Stargate universe. One of the better Stargate spin offs.

So sad this show is over. Latest episode felt rushed as heck. And there is still much to explain and explore. Gonna read the books now. Fuck em.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

So I just finished reading the books. What a ride that was. The TV show is good, but as always, the books are even better. And the last 3 books are totally worth it too.

There are three books following season 6. So like 3 seasons. edit: If they continue the season/book structure.
