Personally I find 300W to be my limit on air. And thats already alot of power to cool off and I use undervolting and frame limiters to stay below.
I can't believe they don't have other performance enhancements than just doubling the power input.
300W is definitely a lot. Some cards like Asus Dual 3060 Ti struggle with less than 210W. The size of the cooler and fans is just not enough for such load.

I was able to grab Asus 3080 Ti TUF for 1283€. Now I'm swapping it for EVGA 3080 FTW3 + 460€. So basically I got 3080 for 1283 - 460 = 823€. Still a bit pricey but no chance to get such massive 3080 model for so low price.
I'm still not sure whether this FTW3 will be any good as EVGA has decided to use crappy components based on Bulzoid's analysis video. We shall see. Gladly it has a warranty if anything happens though the replacement's availability is pretty much 0.

Is that card primarily for mining? i know mining has a lot of focus on memory
Yeah.. there's absolutely no point in having 12GB on that card (as we saw in the video). We're still far away from needing more than 8-10GB VRAM. What we need is more bandwidth between VRAM and GPU since the GPU's are starved for memory bandwidth. We also need much faster PC RAM<->GPU access and bandwidth solutions (like special lanes from memory controller to a selected PCIe where you slot in your graphics card).
