Seems the ingame menu doesnt report accurately the vram requirements. It goes above the 10 gigs the 3080 has. AMD partenered game They're pushing vram requirements so it underperforms on nvidia. Resident Evil 8, Godfall, now FC 6. Remember at their rdna 2 presentation they had a dedicated slide how modern games just need those 16 gigs on their cards
That said, those 10 gigs on the 3080 we always knew will hamper the card at some point. But its not yet the case. These are fringe cases and AMD's intentional fuckery. That company is getting more and more obnoxious
Yep same, finished FC1 which was a huge leap in technology for the time. I think I played 2 and 3 for a couple of hours and uninstalled, the only open-world type shooter i've enjoyed was STALKER and I find that a somewhat linear game set in open-world.
This game is pretty bad. Worst in the series I'd say. Gameplay, graphics, story, missions, everything is bad.
Seriously? I think it's a big step up from the last game and I live in the US. The last game's story, gameplay, missions, and dream sequences sucked. I think the Devs finally listened to everyone to leave out those asinine dream sequences (I hope) except I think I saw them in the DLC. But playing on Ubisoft Plus, I won't be seeing the DLC when I finish the main story here soon.
The AI as well you can run directly from enemy to enemy in a militia camp insta-gibbing everything with a knife taking no damage etc. modern AAA shooter AI.

Of course, given how fucked the market is right now, you can pretty much trade up your 3080 (assuming not LHR) into a 3080 Ti with no cash at all.
Looks like we go backwards with graphics each "next gen", system requirements ofcourse goes up.
One does not need 'NEXT GEN' to enjoy a game. Also, innovation in gameplay / game systems is much, MUCH more important (and relevant) today, than any RTX, 8K bullshit.
1080p on ULTRA, for a massive open and detailed world, with the framerate dropping only in the 40s/50s on a 5 years old mid-end videocard?
After getting through the story, I'm left with a underwhelming "meh" feeling about this game.
The tone is out of place, felt a bit buggier than previous entries and the premise itself wasn't all that interesting and some very annoying characters, but the combat was still nice and it looks great.
I still managed to spend about 40 hours on this which was way too long, doing most side missions and liberating all outpost, checkpoints and anti-aircraft sites.
Pointless though since after the story you will have to liberate them again due to insurgency mode...so time well spent.

I think its the same team who did 4 so its expected to have more bugs.
what's with the texture of weapons, especially when looking through scope, very poor textures and i have hd textures turned on in video options, is there some fix?

Don't know if it is the same team, but this did feel like Far Cry 4 in a lot of ways.
Getting too tired to play these big world UBI games...the feeling of "Oh God, not another area full of missions" is killing me, just like in Valhalla.

Solution is to turn off hd texture pack.
HD texture pack requires 12gb+ VRAM to work properly.
