Guess she didn't get his steam account in the settlement.

Man i couldn't do that. My wife knew when we met waaaay back in 1994 that my few hobbies I really enjoy are mine and to change me from them is to change who I am as a person.

I even had/have a joke about it, that she finds funny in a 'He never would, but its true' sort of way:
Man if my wife ever gave me the ultimatum of my PC or her, that would SUCK. Because it means I have to tell my friends hold on, quit my game I'm playing, get up, help her pack her shit, get it to the car and all that hassle.

And of course because gaming is *obviously* not more important than her, BUT asking that questions means that she doesn't get you and doesn't know who you are and how could she be happy with a person she clearly doesn't know. And THAT is the actual reason why you are not compatible and you don't want her to be unhappy, right? Cool Face

I got lucky I think. Mine doesn't care at all I do it, and says there is way worse hobbies I can have. I'm not our drinking with the guys, or in the woods with no way to contact all weekend with loaded guns hunting, or spending $30 grand on a boat and fishing gear to catch $50 of fish with...or a dozen other 'guy' hobbies.

I'm in the other room, talking to people online playing games and having fun. She knows exactly where I am, what I'm doing and not hogging the TV watching sports all weekend. Shes even said multiple times over the years "I love hearing you in there laughing, playing with your friends" be it us playing video games, or our Saturday night online tabletop RPG game I run.

Not trying to sound braggart or strut around. Just it confuses me how some relationships can be your significate other dislikes seeing you enjoy yourself doing something, if they don't also do it.

People born in the late early 70'ies is the first generation that will keep playing games even in elder care homes (and it'll probably become a standard therapy to help keep the brain in shape compared to current day when they sit around like zombies all day long watching some "wholesome" nonsense on tv or just sitting in their rooms fading away completely. Obviously those of use that live that long and become senile will play Super Mario on old 8-bit consoles since the later stuff has been forgotten. Laughing

But yeah, Generation X grew up with early consoles/computers and it's part of our world view. I'll probably keep playing computer/mobile games in some form until I die unless I get too sick/senile to do anything (I hope I go fast, not a slow dragged out loss of brain function or cancer etc. but unfortunately we don't get to choose unless we take the "quick route"). Sorry, got a little dark there for a moment. Wink

Im pretty sure that I told someone a while back that Jenni was my uncle pretending to be 'Jenni'
.It has been so long that i can hardly even remember.

I dropped him a message on Steam when i recovered my account but he's not replied.

Mam's side, btw. In case you were wondering.

That pic of 'Jenni' he used was a pic of an ex he was seeing when I was a teenager. Her name was Vicki.

sadly, when you're old and senile you'll keep asking and longing for gaming and no one will grant it to you because you're old and senile and know it makes you miserable because you can't do anything anymore. But you'll forget that the second you look away and start asking and longing again :/

Honestly I do not remember telling you that but I dont deny saying it.

However I swear 'Jenni' is my uncle. His name is Craig. Fuck knows why he moonlighted as one of his ex's back from when I was 15.

Weird.
