He forgot the kill anybody except Harley Quinn part. Being that the Suicide Squad is made up of villains and mostly C rank or lower in the DC Universe it does not make the stakes as high in the comic or the movies as most people just don't care if Polka-Dot Man or some other random villain like that dies. With Gunn keep mentioning about killing people off though I have a feeling Cena's Peacemaker probably dies saving the team in the end.
An hr plus in. No real cool scenes. The violence is nice I guess. Really well made and the characters are truly despicable and strangely likeable. Not really IMAX worthy. The leaks were true. Pete Davidson so far is the best part. Some heart moments here and there, but so far a typical edgy James Gunn movie. Sitting at 6. Could improve. I understand the praise critics are giving it. It's well made. Coherent. But it's not a spectacle yet.
Spoilers of course. Should've gone with sky-beam because it's apparently bombed hard.

movie is good, well made, the camera movement in action is nice, but im just tired of comedy superhero movies. i want more of what snyder did, and makes me want to see the ayers cut more.
wanted to see more of some of the characters, looking forward to the peacemaker series
The movie didn't click with me at all. Usually I have very high tolerance for this kind of movie but this one didn't work for me. The story was ultra-lame, the jokes were ultra-rehashed, the characters I didn't care about at all. It felt like they tried very hard but didn't succeed. Even that one action scene with Harley (that was very well done) couldn't save it from being quite generic (for what we're used to). And yes, its technically well done.
Both GotG, I rewatched and I could still rewatch. This will land in the basket never to be touched again.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
I haven't read any Suicide Squad comic books but I think that the problem with this are the characters. They are not really whacky and comedic like GotG. They are super villains and the movie struggles to have antiheroes that have to be evil but kinda can't. And the story has to be semiserious because it's DC and DC was always more serious and brooding than Marvel.
So you have this ambiguous feeling while watching it. I enjoyed it but I understand how it can't click or fall flat.

Saw it and I actually really liked it. It's worth an Oscar compared to the previous version.
The gory stuff is quite well done and suits the whole movie.
Some scenes are useless but I guess it goes with the title itself.
