I saw that video a couple of weeks ago as a lot of people were making a big deal since it now established Deadpool in the MCU. The video jokingly made it sound like they did one of these before but it seems not the case.
This just turned out to be the perfect timing since Reynolds and Waititi both star in Free Guy and Fox being owned by Disney plus Waititi filming Thor Love and Thunder it would not surprise me if Taika actually directed this right as he finished up Thor.
Disney would be smart though and have Deadpool react to all the upcoming Disney trailers but I doubt they would want to pay Reynolds for that but I bet they will do another one of these before Deadpool actually does appear in a MCU film.
I personally think Deadpool works best in his own corner of the MCU. His Raison d'être is basically to fuck up MCU in his separate corner. If he were to become just another character in a big MCU film the R-rated style and X-rated comedy would have to be severely castrated which would turn him into a eunuch version of himself. Deadpool 3 has been confirmed to be part of the MCU. To what extent remains to be seen.
Still, I think this meta² format is a really funny concept and could become a real PR boon for Marvel and Disney to continue, giving a little more leeway for Deadpool and (insert guest appearance) reactions that aren't all about plugging Disney trailers.
