Based on Leigh Bardugo's worldwide bestselling Grishaverse novels, Shadow and Bone finds us in a war-torn world where lowly soldier and orphan Alina Starkov has just unleashed an extraordinary power that could be the key to setting her country free. With the monstrous threat of the Shadow Fold looming, Alina is torn from everything she knows to train as part of an elite army of magical soldiers known as Grisha . But as she struggles to hone her power, she finds that allies and enemies can be one and the same and that nothing in this lavish world is what it seems
PS The ships look so fake and overall it looks kinda "fake"..the costumes, the setting..if you know what I mean..

The setting is cool but the plot is the same as every other generic fantasy YA written in the same time period. Boring main girl who is Very Special because of Magical Reasons, childhood best friend love interest, super handsome and charming villain, sassy dialogue, a series of complicated fetch quests to get magical items, etc etc.
I enjoyed most of it. But like that other German show that came not long ago, it felt like the whole season was basically a set up for the real stuff coming next season. Or rather, it was all build up and... then it lacked proper release
It was not so bad. It's very generic, but got some likeable characters. Did only I get the impression that the main chick was like totally into the Billy guy? The actor I mean
surprisingly this was this good, on the outside it looks like your usual netflix disposable show but actors were great given all of them are mostly unknown except ben barnes is great as usual, some veru nice creepy moments with great atmosphere and great soundtrack. world building is like the witcher.
Meh. What a boring show. It easly could have been 3-4 episodes or 3 hour movie. Repeated expositions, telling who the Dark Heretic is and later showing how he did what he did which was told multiple times. Overlong scenes, she is training, look she is training, look she gets better, look she is training and gets better

It grew on me.. Fell asleep during the first 2 episodes, but it gets better.
I still liked His Dark Materials more though. This felt more generic and cliché.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
Please put [NR]/[R] etc. after the movie/tv title. It seems the search engine doesn't like when there are stuff in front of the title in the subject line.

tbh it's high time the forum was updated or something. It's a pain to browse it on a smartphone
