I used to be pretty good at speaking deutsch (I lived there for a while as a kid between 4-5 with my parents moving in to live with my grandmother as well as learning german in school for 2-3 years). I went to the Cebit expo in 1993 with my boss (at the invite of the mother company) and after ~two days and aching legs since walking around the enormous expo 14-15 hours/day that filled I don't know how many football fields I could speak some basic german fluently, picking up/relearning words from nearly every encounter. Sadly I've lost 99% of it.
I remember how stupid and backwards I thought the german numbering system is.

English: Twenty one
Swedish: Tjugoett

English: seven hundred and eighty-four
Swedish: Sjuhundraåttio-fyra.
Danish is even worse though with their weird Halvtreds, Halvfjers and Halvfems.
30 is Tredive which is reminiscent of the Scandinavian counting (Sweden - trettio, Norway - tretti).
In Danish, 50 is Halvtreds. What? Half-thirty? Half-three? Wut? And 70 is Halvflers.. Half-four.
