Introduce yourself at Martyr’s End, the hub of all the action, contracts, and factions in your little corner of Necromunda. Select your contract, prepare your loadout and track down your target across one of the several dark and twisted areas of the Hive. Nothing comes easy in Hired Gun, fighting and even trailing targets will put the best bounty hunters to the test. Use your grappling hook and wall running abilities to close in on your prey across rotting agri-farms, industrious chemlabs and ancient strongholds. Then, assisted by your loyal Mastiff, unleash a ballet of destruction to complete your contract in style before returning to Martyr’s End for a celebratory drink and a round of upgrading your weapons and armor.
Upgrade and augment your arsenal to take on the Hive’s toughest contracts
From a signature power knife to rocket launchers and graviton gun, everything can be useful to make a living within the ever-growing conflict between factions in the Hive. After each action-intensive mission, take the time to exchange loot and rewards for cyber-augments to yourself, your arsenal and your dog. Grow in power and soon enough, become your target’s unstoppable worst nightmare.
Considering it's from an indie studio (well, it was until THQ purchased them), $40 is about right. Probably the budget was not that high to charge $60 for it.
You can see in the graphics settings that it has DLSS 2.1, which hasn't been announced for the game yet by Nvidia or the developer -if I'm not mistaken.
It's not just you. I wouldn't score it more than 5/10, being generous. It's really bad, even considering it's a indie studio. The price doens't go hand in hand with the quality of the game. Enemies models and animations are atrocious, the FOV even maxed out is awful, graphics are less than average, and the HUD is way too intrusive and cheap. I had high hopes for it too, but they sold me the game with a nice mix of fast-pace combat gameplay, but it's far from what I expected. I played five levels and had to drop it. It's just not fun to play and sometimes it's way too chaotic for its own good.

I like it so far, they nailed the artwork and the gunplay is pretty fun. There are some technical issues though and don't expect much in terms of production value.
Sounds like this is pretty janky from first impressions I have seen so far. Probably warrants a patented Ixi Early Access tag. Speaking of which, apparently the DX12 implementation is stuttery, so you might want to switch to DX11 or try DXVK.
