The Eight Princes Chapter Pack is a new standalone campaign which takes place in the immediate aftermath of the THREE KINGDOMS storyline. This pack introduces eight legendary princes to Total War: THREE KINGDOMS, each with their own unique traits, playstyles, and units such as the revered heavy cataphract cavalry, mounted archers, and imperial guardsmen.
Dynasty mode brings a brand-new free game mode to Total War: THREE KINGDOMS, designed in collaboration with Intel®.
This new horde-style mode allows players to test their survival prowess against waves of enemies with ever-increasing difficulty levels using an army comprised solely of three hero units.
the combat has been flat since after the very first rome total war/ medieval2 total war
they just tried to distract people with tons of bells n whistles and bullshit unit skills turning into a starcraft 2 micromanagement clusterfuck where one unit of horse archers can like decimate an entire army rofl
The only mod that can fix the combat is a mod that drops the Empire engine and replaces it with something that has proper collision so that combat doesn't look like I'm trying to make water and oil mix.
Mandate of Heaven is the massive forthcoming chapter Pack for Total War: THREE KINGDOMS. Focusing on the tumultuous events prior to the base-game campaign where discontent surrounds Emperor Ling as he deals with an administrative power-struggle as well as the ravaging Yellow Turban tribes who threaten his dynasty.
With eleven playable new and existing factions, nine unique characters, and over forty units – including a range of siege machinery and battlefield deployables – Mandate of Heaven allows THREE KINGDOMS players to wage war on an unprecedented scale. In a Total War first, Mandate of Heaven also features an evolving campaign which grants the ability to play through the prequel campaign directly into the base game setting, meaning players can forge an empire across two momentous periods within Chinese history.
A World Betrayed is the new DLC for THREE KINGDOMS, out on March 19.
In the north, Dong Zhuo has fallen to the blade of his adopted son, Lü Bu: a fierce warrior hellbent on defeating the great heroes of China. In the south, Sun Ce mourns the death of his father, and pledges his life to continue his father’s legacy. The day has come where they must stand alone, the future theirs to take…
The Nanman are coming – in fact, they’re lined up to be our very next DLC release. We’re very excited, and we think this pack has a lot of great stuff in it that you’re really going to enjoy.
You’ve seen ‘Chapter Packs’ before, but this will be our first ‘Expansion Pack’ DLC for 3K, and it’s a large one.
That map update will come with the second ‘Expansion Pack’ DLC that will focus on building out the North of the map.
So CA have announced that they are ending official support for 3K, cancelling planned future DLC. Hilariously, this has sent the Total War subreddit into apoplectic rage. As far as I can tell, they are most angry about the fact that they won't be getting nickel and dimed any more (at least for this title). I'm not sure I have ever encountered a community so heavily suffering from developer/publisher Stockholm Syndrome as them.
