Most likely yet another thing coming from complaints from Disney / Kathleen Kennedy since all their videos got downvoted in the tens of thousands after the firing of Gina Carano. Stuff like that can seriously effect stocks, investors etc. You can tell Disney got very upset by those downvotes, they've been going after people like crazy after that. Seems like Carano got shadow banned on Twitter yesterday, she's immensely popular there and that must hurt annoy them as hell.

Yes, Disney had to call Youtube and tell them to fix that voting system because... uh... cruella only has a 9:1 like:dislike ratio (given that shitty trailer)  And Marvel's (part of Disney) Loki trailer sits at a sad 99:1 like:dislike ratio :'( Conspiracy confirmed, SJW world domination prevented!!!1

All i'm saying is it's very convenient of them to change it just after that rather big debacle of dislikes. Obviously everyone understands that a huge company like Disney can have a big influence over something like Youtube, no conspiracy needed. If it's pure coincidence or not we'll probably never now, i never claimed i know for certain.

Or you could put away partisanship and accept, that humans are patternseekers and that you are coming off as paranoid and super sensitive. "They" are not out there to get you. "They" want to make money. And "they" will always have tons of people that analyse and try to predict what makes the most money. Sometimes this might appear as SJW pandering, sometimes it is pandering to the fringe right, sometimes to the fringe left and sometimes it's covert, and other times very obvious and blunt. Relax. And you come off as super triggered, even though there's no reason for it, it's not like i've claimed it's a fact.
All i've said is that they care about money and dislikes can negatively impact a big company like Disney, and others too. It's not too far fetched to think it might have been the start of it, who knows. We've seen YT abandoning creators in favor for big corps. This is not something new, so maybe it's just a natural development of that..

It's not like a change like that would happen over night anyways, so that was taken into account ofc.. and yes, its possible they've predicted it before that "event", or it was something that sparked the idea, made them discuss it and take action. You can bet Disney / Lucasfilm complained to them about this, and they are a big company.
It's the first time i see so many coming together and downvoting in the tens of thousands for an entire channel. it also happened recently (yes weeks ago is still recent).
Dislikes when used in that way leaves a very powerful message.

It's just amazing how one don't know how to use uBlock correctly  No need for extra shit running, when one 'takes control', manually  It's a learning process is life, I guess? Like, back in the times, when the annoying shit at the top of this board used to annoy, but begone long ago. Tweak, curb, and refurb. My YouTube experience is hassle free, thx to Pi-Hole too, which is more noticeable on Android shit that connects to my network

Scara, everyone here has uBlock. This extension automatically skips forward embedded sponsor segments in the video which you can't block like a normal ad.
It uses user generated data that can be voted on by the community so it is spot on so far. should save you a good chunk of your life not listening to bullshit you don't care about.

anyone else feeling spied on by the youtube app btw ? a friend sent me a meincraft meme or joke gif from reddit that had hitlers book in it witht he red cover supertiny in a kids hand being bought mein kampf in stead of minecraft
a week later out of nowhere i get some video sponsored/reccomended in my feed about hitlers mein kampf book with the thumbnail being the same bookcover full blown ... as if it had grabbed the cover from the gif and stored that info about me in its algorythm
i havent watched anything ww2 relates in months ... let alone some fucking book review ( it might even have been some positive bullshit review, dont remember clearly
but this felt spooky as fuck and will probably remove the app from my phone, i received the link on skyp on my phone and got the reccomendation on my youtube app on same phone
to much of these weird coincidences going on where stuff from text conversations starts popping up in adds/suggested content, heck even from phonecalls

It's more than likely internal search tags the image had. The same one it uses when you do image search.
It would be a lot of extra processing power for little gain to analyse image contents (much less gifs) for object recognition for every image everyone shares with each other, when they already have keyword index of what returns that image for a search.
So more than likely you opened an image with whatever keyword tags it has with your phone, it being a gif was opened with a browser image displayer if it was a link. And now it knows you 'enjoy/have interest in': minecraft; hitler; mein kampf; etc.
Its not smart enough to know what you DO like. Only a collection of what you view.

https://newpipe.net/
This is basically a youtube app that doesn't spy on you or even require a google account yet you can still subscribe to channels and download videos in the format of your choosing even MP3. Oh and NO ADS

Vanced has SponserBlock as a builtin feature , and it also supports logging in with your account so u can get the personalized experience that the actual youtube app offers,things like recommendations etc.
With NewPipe u can download videos and save it separately on ur phone unlike vanced which is a fork of the real thing so it only supports downloading in app only.
