At 0:15 there is some mean looking old hag in some kind of an exosceleton. I guess there are NPC's in this one then? This kind of looks like a villain. I know there was that non-stop talking girl but thought she is just as some kind of navigator. And there was an NPC in the first game but it never did anything other than talk as far as I remember.
Hopefully the story is expanded. Reading through PDA's in Sunautica made me interested in the events and the world but almost the entire story was through texts.
I'm keeping my expectations in check for this expansequel since the original writer is no longer there and supposedly it has a different tone, the composer is new as well, the map is smaller and so on. We'll see I guess, I hope it won't be too much of a downgrade from the first (amazing) game.
I got weak and started playing the feb version and its better than expected. Definitely not as good as the first but some biomes are really well done.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Nice to read it's still good. Have so much stuff to do anyway so I didn't even notice when 2 years passed... Even barely seen anything about this one apart from some 10 minutes total from videos.
I've been out of the loop for a while and initially thought this was supposed to be an expansion to Subnautica, the scariest and most stressy horror game I ever played.
Instead now it's a sequel and it's all cutesy and ultra colourful and shit, wtf?
All the ice stuff is pretty boring and the game is more focused. There are more interactions and dialogues and those are pretty mediocre. It really isn’t as good as the first mainly also because you know what to expect since playing the first. But I’m still having fun.

Gotta appeal to a broader audience you know. Cutesy means extreme weebs and gurls.
Uh its not that bad. The characters on the other hand...

Oh. Shame. But probably they won't add that many things.
Main reason I don't play EA games. But also because I can only play a game "at once". Can't just stop playing something then play it again after few weeks or months (very few exceptions and they are online games).

Im normally very patient and wouldn't normally play any beta but Subnautica is a very specific itch and last time i played a few months ago i essentially completed it :/
On a complete off-topic after watching 0:40 in the review above - FUCK the English language. Stupid ass lazy people who made this to use the same words in completely opposite meanings. "Cool as hell" ?! Really?! But then "hot as hell". And "Ugly as hell"?. "Hard as hell" and "hella easy". FFS! And it's even worse with "shit" and "fuck".
