Go woke, go broke. we don't say it for fun, we say it because; facts.
Except all the times when it didn't happen.
sure. that's probably what you said about CW too right?
"comics are booming!"
"if you don't like my politics, don't buy my book!"
Not that much later.......;
"...we're not doing so well right now."
"I worry about the people losing their stores"
- Kelly Sue DeConnick
kind of sums up the entire woke industry..
The audience isn't there and its proven again and again. They're trying to live off ESG score instead of money, doesn't work in the long run.

Because of IPs?
yeah, and because it's actually very possible to make millions or billions out of these if you just do what the fans asks for instead of trying your absolute best to piss them off and try to get that NEW, fancier audience (which doesn't exist, at least not in the numbers you want if you want to make a profit).
The problem is 90% of their most popular current ips are owned by other companies already so it not like DC and Archie Comics would just continue those shows for the new owner, they would just end up moving those shows to HBO Max for the DC stuff and most likely Netflix for the Archie stuff. I just do not see someone wanting to pay billions to buy the network to make Dawson's Creek The Next Generation.
