This game is massive, looks good and the gameplay is ok, standard ubi standard. AI as dumb as in every other ubi game but overall the game is better than Wildlands. Base design does look like it was auto-generated lol but at least you can approach them military bases from every angle and you can customize the difficulty (including AI awareness and precision) to your liking, which is nice. There are a few textures and animation glitches but not as many as I thought, well worth €15.

I think I'll say no, it's not worth it because at the end of the day you'll probably feel like you wasted time if nothing else.
I really liked Wildlands, I treated it like a game I can turn on and play for an hour or two just to pass the time (much like how many play MP shooters) and for such a purpose the game was really great.
But this game just doesn't do that for me, everything I do just feels like a waste of time and pointless. Despite there being a huge map you won't really feel rewarded when you explore, it's all rather... Bland... In every way.
With the changes they've made it's not necessarily a bad game, just very very generic and bland.
€5 is not a lot of money by any stretch but I wouldn't (and haven't) paid that to play the game. I only tried Breakpoint when it was a free trial and while I was using Ubisoft+ to try a few other games, and I regretted even spending time on it.
Even the story is super generic and uninteresting. It's a complete drag.
It really is a shame, I hope they make a proper Wildlands 2 set in some real world location in the same vein as Wildlands with Bolivia. |

Project Motherland ends up making the game play like Wildlands where you take over the different zones and have to fight a boss at the end of each of them. It was the sort of thing that if you liked Breakpoint and finished the story but wanted more than Motherland added a whole new reason to go back and play the game.
I got the base game for like $8 last year when they were giving out one of the story DLCs for free and it gave me enough gameplay but there are 2 DLC story missions so if you can find a version with them included you might want to go for that as they do not seem to ever discount the season pass as they use a real money in game currency system to unlock the DLCs in game so I doubt I will ever get that other DLC as I am not paying like $15 for it.

Ok, because i've heard the base game is just terrible and Project Motherland is just a whole new thing that fixes the game, that it even has reasonably good AI..

wait so a boring third person game gets a janky first person mod, and that somehow makes it not boring?
not holding my breath on that "BIG comeback"
thought this was always "dumb fun" in coop for a while, but I don't see how the perspective has much influence on this.
