It's not perfect, but it is not that bad, still have fun. Few fps drops here and there on 2k/4k, but generally going smooth.
It is a little bit of fun, I'm not gonna lie. I enjoyed killing creatures left and right when I played last night, but as I mentioned before the problems are way too may for this to be a fully enjoyable experience. I wonder if their QA department actually played the game?
I haven't played one of these through since the original few
What's with the iron sights and realistic weapons/attachments? They're anti-Serious Sam. Too many empty looking areas, poor level design etc. Those videos make it look awful.
The switch to realistic environments killed the franchise for me. Sam, the enemies, and the real world just doesn't work when put together. These are two completely different art directions mixed into one game and it shows.

Had a total of 3 crashes. 2 of 'em within the same final cutscene from the 14th chapter but in 2 different moments.
Atleast i didn't got startled that much like previous games and there's barely traps (Unless ya really search for 'em)
Performance wise could be a tad bit better, with 1080p with VULKAN setting on and most stuff on Ultra minus an option. CPU didn't spread any heat at all around my tower (Some games i noticed this, like with DOOM ETERNAL or others)
Checkpoint system can really suck by the last 2 chapters of the game, forcing ya to replay a previous checkpoint to do things better or prevent a "Loading then die 2 seconds later" moment.
But it was a fun ride, nothing that exciting.. The only issue is not really knowing where the Headless Kamikazes are coming from since they sound on both speakers a lot, without getting the "surround" effect helping at all
6.5/10, wait for a fixed version.

Yesterday, they released a small patch (around 700mb), this is the changelog:
Quote:
Due to this being a hotfix, not a lot of other changes have been implemented, but I do have a short changelog for you. Find it below.
Changelog
-The Laser weapon will no longer be stuck in recoil state if the player saves the game while using alternative fire
-Resetting voice options to default values now works as intended.
-The first-person sprint weapon animation will no longer play while riding enemies from the first-person perspective.
-The Tommy Gun weapon skin will now get bloody! Because we all love blood, amirite.
-Lowest GPU presets no longer use prebaked lighting.
-Fixed various visibility issues throughout the game.
Thanks for your support and patience. We'll start working on the next patch immediately..
I'm playing through Mafia currently, so when I'm done with that, I will return and see if some of the major issues are fixed.
Is this game still a mess? I got some weird dotty shadow textures on NPCs. Is there a way to fix it? There are so many graphical options, it's will take some time to go through them all.
