Hmm that looks really cool; still remember how brutal was the tutorial in the first game in that garage
Yeah, that damn tutorial was no joke. Took way too long to complete it (due to repeating until I reached the end). Great game, released over 2 years before GTA3.
Ahah yeah, never got the cult around that tutorial, it went well each time I had to do it
I loved the first game, think I'm gonna play it for a while I just loved the feel of the cars, perfect mixture of arcade and weight for me, wish GTA games played like it.

Midtown madness was ok. Motocross madness is where its at.
The hours I spent on the demo for Motocross Madness back then..
I remember that I owned the Sidewinder Freestyle Pro with motion sensors back in 98, playing the game with that thing felt like a futuristic experience
Haha the Sidewinder line-up.. That thing was awful !
Was the tutorial in a garage? Damn, I know I finished it but when I played the game afterwards I stopped because it was much easier than the tutorial.
Had similar case with Witcher 2 before they patched it and made it easy. I felt kinda cheated. The "tutorial" was like playing Dark Souls but afterwards it was like Super Mario.
I want a proper remake of Driver with a new gfx engine (motion capture, modern world/cars/characters) where they keep the feel, the handling, the atmosphere, the story and the style. Not a derpmake like we see nowadays where they basically ruin the game.
That's what I was hoping for when I saw this thread bumped up. A Mafia-style remake would be fine by me, despite the negative feelings polands had here because their oh so precious polandcrap got touched by non-polands.
