The investment you make is based on what you project you will get out of it. They invested probably close to 200 million dollars thinking its the next billion dollar game. They were doing marketing with everyone, sony with its shit spideraman exclusive. Even intel for its cpu's with exclusive graphical features.

The Avengers movie is the highest grossing movie in history. They were thinking this was gonna sell out of this world. So they poured funds on par with the biggest hollywood blockbusters. And then the game was kinda shit and somehow made poor impressions from the earliest showings. And then it sold very poorly. 3 million might sound good if your budget is 30-40 million, not hundreds of millions

That is weird as I did not notice that issue last night after the patch but I also just log in and look at the cosmetic vendor on the ship and log out again so I wonder if it appears when you actually play a mission or maybe if the bug is a console only one since console and PC patches are done by 2 different teams but both teams seem to be bad devs.

The Steam multiplayer has been dead basically since the game was released, since their is no cross platform play I can imagine the Gamepass version on PC will have the same problem.
