It's about the roguelite elements and adapting to a continuously rising threat, not graphics. The levels work great with the gameplay and are able to accommodate the insane battles that unfold later on. Currently, there are 10 main environments and 6 secret ones, not counting Stadia's exclusivity bs.

Sounds like this game isn't about anything that makes a game fun and worth playing Laughing

Because fun is such a quantifiable or objective term, right?

In these days when people keep procrastinating in open world online games for thousands of hours, nope. It's not.

It's never really been an objective or quantifiable term because we like and want different things from video games, like with most things in life. That's why I find it amusing when you hear about "fun factor" in some reviews. You could do some comparisons with other similar titles as reference, but that won't say much either.

If you wanna know why I find this game is so enticing and awesome, you can check the review I posted on the previous page.

While i agree with you in theory, it doesn't work in practice. You'd never be hyped by a completely objective and robotic review, i'd wager you'd rather be excruciatingly bored. And a subjective review just doesnt exist when a person reviews something either as his feelings on the matter will bleed into his review and it will cease to be objective.

I think they're doing it well enough like they are, as long as they're not bullshitting by acting like hypekids or when its an obvious sellout.

I don't want to be hyped, I want to make an informed decision.

I love "rougelite" twin stick and overall shooters and at first I was going to refund this after 1 hour of play. Really strange beast, probably soloable but looks like made with coop in mind.

Still not really conviced after 4 hours. Also have the progress wiping bug because of how it handles profiles and got teleporter stuck in enviro and couldn't progress...

I dunno. I don't question your enjoyment of the game it has it charm and maybe I have to get used to the mechanics Confused But easy is too easy as I beat the game without breaking a sweat and normal can just be hard to the point of getting beaten by the first teleporter boss on and on with their cheap IMO attacks like the jellyfish explosion or the golem laser attack that if you use your movement skill and it's on cooldown usually mean death of your character.

On the side note the OST is just fantastic. I could listen to Into the Doldrums forever.
