Well im setting a lan up with a friend at March the 10 -> 12. Now we had done this a year ago which was very fun and succesful think we were around 30 peeps.

Now, this time we hope to make it even better with more then 50 people and many new features (The event is taking place at a local school) The school itself has table tennis, airhockey and a big ass mofo gas station just across the street which has enough Cola, Candy, Snacks etc to feed a whole country Wink

So any of you guys have a tip or two or any suggestion what I could add to the lan?
Though both of us (m8 and I) has decided not to arrange any competition in games whatsoever. Gonna be one big "play garden"

I always set up a projector for people who dont have decent PCs and people who like console games better can play some Halo or sports games. I bet the school has a few projectors you could use. It attracts more people and we know the more the merrier.

Yup set up some consoles. They're usually more fun than PC games anyway, 2 on 2 on Pro evo 5 is the shit Very Happy

Well the school dont have a projektor :/ In fact the only thing new in A/V equipment is a VHS player Razz Though we do have alot of consoles, Xbox, PS2, N64, Nes, SNES, Gamecube, Mega Drive, and a Dreamcast system. We could connect a regurlar 20 inch TV tho? Wink

Since most of the people coming to that LAN knows each other irl, and its only for a weekend, then im pretty sure you wont need to do that much to it. But the retro console gaming would kick ass!

And about the competition, i think i would be fun to arrange a little competition in a "lame" game, like "Soldat" or something like that Smile

Though we are getting all kinds of people Fraiche at least 14 people which I dont know, since its the friend telling friend -> Procedure and apparently it has reached Copenhagen (getting 2 people from our captial Smile)

Yea wel its mostly friends, and friends friends attending, it would be fun to arrange something just to take time away but also make it more intereseting. Plus it could be a good idea to make random teams, that way the people who dont know each other so well would get the oppertunity for it.

thats what i was thinking....ganja is a must at something like that...videogames, munchies...for sure you need erbs. Booze...I wouldnt do that, some ppl get violent when they lose in a videogame, adding liquer into the situation wouldnt be a good idea.

I'd even suggest a lil bit of e...if u have girls coming, if not, forget, stick with the ganja and food Smile and music, must have good music.
And girls...u need a few girls there...

im not saying strictly talking to girls, like invite a few gamer girls...for yourself or a few buddies u know are gunna be there...and trust, nuff decent to hot girls play videogames...so ive found out as of late - just like us, swear, bitch, complain, yell...have chicks around always makes things hyper...least for me.

And shit, how easy would it be to pick up a gamer chick? show her some next move on a game, impress her and then boom, phone number...there ya go, already have something in common. Smile

I didnt think girls played games either.

But a few weeks ago i was sittin around 2 of my girl friends and one of em is like, "lets play some mgs"...I was stunned. Sure enough, we sat there for a couple of hours and took turns and shit, and they were good at it.

I brought it up to, well, my best friend, this chick ive known forever and she's like yeah, she always plays videogames now and she starts going on about tony hawk and splinter cell and shit.
