So the 25 year old idea of putting together Championship Manager and Fifa is finally coming along .. including the cute 2D pitch match engine.
Fifa Manager has existed for a long time, but it has always been a bit shitty compared to CM/FM
Still, I usually enjoyed these games for a while, because they're obviously more visually pleasant and a bit more casual, as the huge amount of attributes/skills/details in FM can be overwhelming.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
Yeah, I mean, I enjoy these games as well. Expanding the stadium and the grounds around & setting hamburger & beer prices and stuff like that is fun. But I can't remember ever playing more than 2 seasons in a row

just a matter of time until they have stop the in game purchases in UT, at least the way they are implanted right now. i doubt this will go on much longer in europe, maybe a few years, they know it, that is why they try to play it down and add stuff like this, so they can say they have done everything in their power. especially with 2k going the same route now. if you can buy a player right away for the xxx euros, i would be fine with it, then at least it's not gambling.
UT is great, if you play it like it's used to. slowly build your team and trade and buy players on the market and make your money that way, but most people these days don't care about that, they just want the best players.

Yep. UT as F2P is very nice for regular FIFA players. But like you said, everyone just wants to rush to end game team within a week and then complain.
EA also don't help by adding way too many special/shinny cards every week to lure people into spending money.
I decided to skip this year and honestly don't miss it anymore.

Hopefully this doesn't take take us back to the old days when the FIFA games couldn't get the license to Ronaldo and Rivaldo so they named them No.9 and No.11 in the games. Not that I play any kind of FIFA anymore but it would still be hillarious to see in 2020
Pretty sure EA has contracts with the teams and leagues and non-active players individually. Even signed exclusive deal with Milan teams.

Yeah, EA deals exclusively with the teams and just like you said they signed a deal with Milan at the beginning of this season, so they can freely use their stadium, logo, kits and players which makes what Zlatan said even more baffling .
He had a player of the month card in fifa 17, I am sure he knows, he probably thought they would ask for new contracts every iteration, as if EA wouldn't use his 3d scan again
