The 2xxx series was too expensive, so was the 1xxx to be fair. No suprise the vast majority have midrange or lower of those generation of cards, less than 1% have a 2080Ti
2000 SUPER series was fine if you were due for an update. I've got 2070 SUPER myself and I'm happy about it. Will skip Ampere.
it was a bit better than the regular 2080, but outside of 2080Ti the entire series was a sidegrade regarding good ol rasterization. Ampere is a proper jump and the gap will widen once games using its tech come out. All the benchmarks now are done with old as fuck tech games, while this board is loaded with raytracing and ai cores.
That would be great if eBay does end up banning all these scalpers and hopefully they would end up doing the same with the console scalpers in November.
eBay: "Hey, buster, we think you're a scalper! Don't you know that in today's modern, capitalist age, it is forbidden to buy cheap and sell high?!"
At the core, nVidia and the buyers that accept the ridiculous prices are the source of the problem.
Sadly, they are the solution also: nVidia should regulate and fix their sells + the users should stop accepting to pay for hyper overpriced products. Scalpers are here because there's a 'market' for them.
People with limited amount money to spare needs 10GB, it will be still enough for normal screens like 1440p, up to 4K. Not sure why people make it seem like you cant game on that 10GB on any resolution, absolutely retarded thinking.
The 10 GB is gonna be enough until the end of the cards life, several years into the future. The card also has nearly double the bandwidth of the PS5 as well. That 20 GB version, besides being overkill and of no use, is gonna cost 2 or 3 hundred bucks extra.
Will probably get the 10GB version next year since my next monitor upgrade (further down the road) will 99% be 1440p.
you're gonna play at 4k everything and wont be limited. I really have no idea how in the fuck 10 GB of gddr6x with the largest bandwidth the world has ever seen is making people overnight believe they're gonna have issues.

Oh so you're going to buy me a 4k monitor then?

For 4K gaming, the GeForce RTX 3090 is about 10-15% faster on average than the GeForce RTX 3080, and up to 50% faster than the TITAN RTX.
Since we built GeForce RTX 3090 for a unique group of users, like the TITAN RTX before it, we want to apologize upfront that this will be in limited supply on launch day. We know this is frustrating, and we’re working with our partners to increase the supply in the weeks to come.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
