Yah that kind of shit cracks me up when they cram that kind of gameplay into mmos like this. It's still just targeting, cooldowns, and numbers flying out of health bars.
See, this is why WoW is still on top and TOR is still made by idiots who don't know how to make a MMO.
In WoW, your vehicle segments are quick and bombastic. Sure they aren't mindblowing nor all that fun. But they are quick and used only sparingly. Just long enough to spice things up in between fetch quests and kill quests. You slay about a hundred enemies in a very short span of time, your abilities are all aoe so there are no clunky tab targetting, AND THEY ALL DIE IN ONE HIT. They also require very few traveling, and if they do, its on rails so you don't have to bother with the rubbish movement controls.
Here in TOR, we got idiots who think adding more depth to their vehicle segments is a good idea.
"Let's have a vacuum attack so you can suck enemies in and aoe them! Combos man!"
No you fucking idiot, that's an extra button I have to press just to kill shit and get this gimmick out of the way. The fact that there's a 9 min video on your stupid vehicle segment shows how fucking retarded these designers are. The worst part of your previous expansion is the combat and now you made it worst by adding more filler to it then add more clunky gimmick on top of it, brilliant.
Fuck off Bioware, you've lost the plot on this game.
Free old expansions. It's not a big deal to give them away.
More significant is that the speeder was previously a subscriber-exclusive reward. Some of the old hands are not very happy it is now being given away for free to all and sundry.

They did give away the last two expansions to the Twitch premium subscribers (and most people just used the free trial offer and grabbed a frag ton of codes). So basically, they kind of gave all the expansions for free with this new promo;)
Bought 10 60 day timecards from a shop that was closing down their pc section a year ago( think they were 90-95 % off ), will see if ill find some time to try it again.F2p i s too frustrating with the held back mission reward loot (if they havent changed that since last i played.)
Since WoW did it I expect old expansions to be free now. Makes a lot more sense to get new players in. Picked this one up, but I doubt I ever get around to it. Played it at release and abandoned it after 1,5 month I think. Just nothing was enough and it didn't put much effort in keeping people around... thought it was also a bit too buggy at release.
A typical dumbed down MMO experience (not like they are that 'smart' to begin with) you'd expect from EA .
The expansions are shite anyway. Just treat the class stories as single player games and enjoy them for free. With all the changes they have made since launch, all the restrictions on free players aren't really that big a deal any more for the 1-50 stuff.
I am pretty sure nobody (except that guy) actually says "ess doubleyou tor" out loud. It would just be "TOR" or "Star Wars TOR".
Also, that ESO number seems crazy. I saw a clarification elsewhere that 8.5 million was the total sales across all platforms (buy to play), not current players, but even so that seems way beyond anything I would have expected. TOR only sold 2 million at launch by comparison, and as the video said the hype before release, especially with that Blur trailer, was pretty big.
