*EA promised modding support
*4 hours of cut content footage from the original to be found in the Bonus gallery.
*Unreleased Frank Z music included
*Console missions and cinematics
*Cut content new Units (won't be usable in campaign however, but available for modders)
does sound pretty neat, if all this is actually true and included.
Source Code is already out
They have shown a lot of stuff to be released and comminucated it straight to fans and community. Cancelling anything now, just before release would mean a PR disaster to them as the CnC fanbase is very stong at its core. Although small
Is all that stuff in the retail still difm?. Or any other new stuff that little press blurb left out?. Personally I'm looking forward to seeing the cut units, even if they won't be playable. The pre-install was like 17-18gb compared to the original game that came in under 1gb or deffo no more than 2gb anyway?. (it's been a while..) Quite a hefty increase in the install space anyway, dunno what can be read into that however?
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Seems people are having issues with the launcher on the bought version from STEAM..."Way to start, once again"

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
It's faithful to the original as you would expect fellas. It's quite nice how the game transititions from the old game, with chunky graphics into the new version via the cutscenes with EVA upgrading your graphics, sound, etc etc with little powerup bars.
Don't know what I should give away for those who want to experience everything first hand themselves as I don't want to spoil anything for anyone. I'll mention this though. Right at the start of the first mission it looks like the old game still, then EVA tells you to upgrade and press spacebar. When you do, the screen morphs into the new version with updated graphics heh. It's a nice touch anyway how they've incorperated the old into the new like that I thought. I think if you liked the original you'll still like this one too I think guys.
OLD NEW! Huzzah!
I've started with my fave faction NOD on hard level as typically the Easy and Normal levels have generally been a bit too easy and Hard should be the Norm I used to think (Everyone probably remembers at the V.Hard and Brutal levels the Comp just cheats anyway lol. But theres only 3 difficulty levels here anyway.)
Game has little touches here and there that reminds you the game you're playing has been updated, so you're not just thrown into the game with everything looking newer without a second thought that it's all new and shiny now.
I'm still only on mission 3 playing Command and Conquer, Red Alert is a seperate load option. It's a pretty a nice game though. Nostalgic haha
@SIN317 Sin when did your game unlock please?. I've been waiting all day for it over here, only just unlocked probably an hour or 2 ago I think.

Did a video with the new installation parody up to the world map after doing the 1st GDI mission
It's a nice parody job.. I might really consider buying it and, for once, play both campaigns from start to finish...

Ah k Sin317, I thought you managed to get it a lot earlier actually. I was expecting it around 3pm -4pm, seemed like it was delayed somewhat.
I don't think I could access it until around 8pm'ish too in the end. Just glad it still came out today though
i thought I heard someone say they weren't geting it till the 6th or something
Colonel Burton, and the Russian Sniper isn't in this Red Alert but the next one isn't he folks?, along with Yuri. I forget now, it's been so long.
When my mate and I used to do the all nighters with this game, we always used to try and do little missions with Tanya, like sneak into the base and blow the radar up or something or other lol. Wasn't really possible back in those days though, with gameplay being as simple as it was. Quite simple stuff. well at least not like in games nowadays
I posted yesterday with that cut & paste that this game apparantly had all the console content, but I don't think thats true actually. Some of the maps we used to like and play a lot on aren't included in this release I think.. pity
@DV2 I thought it was quite cool the way they did that EVA vid
