Is this game any good? I've grabbed it dirt cheap on a steam sale some months ago (just the basic version), but the game's download size is just ... I remember seeing some videos, and boy the animations look almost as bad as Oblivion plus the graphics ain't so good as far as i remember
Combat is rough like all TES games but otherwise, everything is way better than SKYRIM including combat. I have like 3500+ hours in it and played since beta. I don't play melee or bow much. Always a mage and got used to combat quite fast. The rotation isn't a big issue unless the game decides to lag (and it happens a lot in highly crowded area/trials) but otherwise very much passable. Solo is smooth for the majority of the game. Cyrodiil is always laggy for me and breaks the game during peak times.
Some zones look visually great while some don't. The dry lands look rough for example. Rift and Eastmatch look great. Coldharbour too.
The PvE areas are HUGE and a lot less dead, unlike SKYRIM. It also looks way better and packed with way more content and written better. Voice acting, mission design, exploration, variety, etc are all better.
You can ignore the MMO aspect and people around you can play it as a single-player game. Though you will miss out some fun and some areas will be cleared with others around. Very much playable as SOLO. I did 80% solo and 20% group only when needed (like trials/dungeons).
The game lot of unnecessary hate because it is not SKYRIM 2.0 / SP game but it has improved so much since launch and is very new player-friendly. It is nothing like the 2014 launch. There is no monthly fee either so you can play anytime you want. Have so many fond memories.
Also, they did stress this year will focus on fixing/correcting a lot of issues surrounding the game, and animation cancelling is among them.
Download size is indeed huge and sometimes get buggy and forces you to re-download entire thing again. Happens when new updates/expansions are out usually.
The game also supports addons which make the experience a lot better. You should definitely check and install those if you plan to play.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Really liked the game. The combat is similar to Guild Wars 2 with lots of skillshots and synergy between some skills. The areas looked mostly bland to me. Even tho the graphics are good, the design is very lacking. Haven't played the expansions, perhaps they are better.
oh fuck off, thats the lousiest post and necro bump ever, cant be bothered to look up youtube ? u keep your dickbeater fingers of your keyboard mr positive bullshitter
Calling it necro bump for a long running game-thread where the previous post was just about a month old.
His first post might not be stellar but your every day posts are worse.
I agree, now instead of always replying to these less than stellar posts just report them. Its better than having half pages full of members snapping at each other. Thanks. - couleur
Long time since I last played ESO but I used to steal items from the shops in the big cities and then fence them in the underground Thieve's guild fencers. Once you learn where and what to steal, you can make couple of thousand gold in about an hour. Not really efficient way to make gold but the easiest. Don't know if they changed that and the gold most likely has much lower value these days.
Caved in and bought The Elder Scrolls Online (Includes The Elder Scrolls Online base game, the Elsweyr, Morrowind and Summerset Chapters) for a price of ARS$ 239,99. Haven't played MMO for 20 years. Wanted to try ESO just because it's Elder fucking Scrolls game. Morrowind is my favorite game ever.
Have fun I steamrolled almost everything when i started playing when elseweyr was released. Never did the group content zone as Deelix never got back to me about it
is anyone still playing? do you know some good ways to farm ~link removed~ for begginer?
In case you guys didn't notice, this is not a legit post, just a lousy attempt at advertising a gold farm.
I see that the post was edited, so perhaps he added the link afterwards.

Well, Skyrim is already available on every gaming platform and smart devices, so naturally the next logical step is to bring Skyrim to every video game as well.
True. We have Bleakrock/Eastmarch/The Rift from start. But that is the east side. This expansion is going to cover the west side - Blackreach. Other locations are likely in future expansions.

How often bigger DLCs (like dark brotherhood, thieves, clockwork city, dragonhold and so on) go on sale? I'm interested in owning DLCs instead of paying monthly for premium subscription as I do not plan play only ESO for months.
I bought ESO on Steam which includes: The Elder Scrolls Online base game, the Elsweyr, Morrowind and Summerset Chapters. There are some story related DLCs, but what about standalone DLCs? Should I complete them during free premium week and forget them?
Btw it's probably common knowledge but the sub is 1,80€ a month if you are on uncle diego store and pay for half a year at once that's 10 bucks for half a year.
Base game + addons and even crowns are also way cheaper if you want to go that route.
Did some math and looks like getting 6 month premium (9900 crowns plus other bonuses) for ~11€ is cheaper than buying crowns from Steam store (uncle Diego).
Now the question is will I even be playing this game for 6 months? So far I do enjoy it, feels like a stripped down elder scrolls game gameplay wise, but with huge amount of lore, quests and even more expansions/DLCs are planned. Maybe I will pick it up premium membership if this one week free trial won't bore me

bought it for in steam sale, the inventory management is super frustrating and on purpose to get u to buy their monthly sub even though i just payed them ... , and the fact there is stuff cockblocked behind real time timegates like research and feeding ur horse is infuriating
Seriously, u need to log in ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY DAYS 180 ... 6 months !!!!!! to maximize ur mounts benefits , 60 times 20hour cooldown for speed, 60 for stamina and 60 for inventory space
AND u have to do this on EVERY character (AND every diff mount?) , its not account wide or mount wide, so basicly forcing me to make a couple chars to lvl ten first to do this retarded daily thing
how any serious self respecting gamer didnt revolt against this shit, hand in ur fucking gamer ID right now, ur a disgrace
how this game ever took off is also a mystery to me, the new player tutorial is practicly non existant , they dont explain u shit, spawn u in the wrong zone even and possibly make u miss out the main story quest lol if u own a dlc, its soooo badly tough out, zero info about skills and how they level up, its like its being kept alive by lost addicted skyrim fanboys or something who are gambling crown crates every month ( thats the twitch streams pretty much, boys n girls buying n gambling n gifting crates ... )
a "game" of serious addicts who need help before bethesda takes every last dime they own, if the lootboxes get made illegal, this game will go POOF , cause that seems its only retaining power
Get https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info2143-BeamMeUp-TeleporterFastTravel.html for free teleports to your guildies (join guilds to cap there is even a beameup guild with a lot of members) it also unlocks fast travel points automatically if you want, this will almost eliminate 90% of your mount usage.
You will get some mount speed upgrades from level up rewards as well as far as i can remember and it's best to make a lot of alts and park them at the stables to train them all so they are max speed if you want to play them.
You probably want them for crafting writs (which can also be automated with an addon) anyway because it's a fast and easy way to make a lot of money.
But honestly even without that mount speed is never really a problem in this game i personally definitely found it way more annoying in WoW or FFXIV since mounts are way more important there.
if it really was true to the elder scrolls genre and canon , it would simply increase in speed the more u used it, not the more gold or real moneyu threw at it ...

Dunno i never really used mounts much in most of the single player games either since fast travel was always a better option there as well.
Well, it was clear from day one it wasn't a TES game but an MMO with a TES coat on.
And then account for it being a B2P MMO with a cash shop. Ofcourse that's never going to translate to anything great.
That being said, there is far faaaar worse stuff out there in MMO land, so I get some really enjoy/like this game. It has some things that are nice.
