What a shit game and that for 1 of the best Paul Verhoeven movies
Starship Troopers the movie was utter and total poop. Read the book instead by Robert A Heinlein.
Why read the book? The movie has nothing to do with it, the Starship Troopers you see on the movie screen is supposed to be a scathing and sardonic attack on facism, war and current American ideals. It is very black humour interspersed with some non-stop gruesome action.
If you don't laugh at the Nazi style propaganda then fair enough I suppose your entitled to your opinion (the film certainly divides its audiences), but I found all the bad acting and digs at America to be entertaining personally. However ignoring all that it's a good action film, stupid yes, but the special effects and all the rest of it stand up.
