So, the co-op (only perhaps only the split screen?) only work with 2 controllers because if you have a K&M and a controller the dumb game only detects one player? How stupid is that? Kills the whole idea of "co-op on a PC".
game is ok, was boring at first and wanted to give up but once i changed difficulty to hard is much better. strife is meh, it works in this kind of game but not in a full darksiders 4 game, proably why they went with this.

They could still make a Darksiders 4 and chances are Airship Syndicate could be in charge again since this game seems to be doing well. I think it's great the series is in Joe Madureiras hands again he created Darksiders and knows best how to continue it.
Dunno if they make a whole game with strife or mix it up with the other horsemen i would personally prefer a game with all 4 tbh.
Well, if you don't play too many games, there's better fish in the sea than this.
Genesis is an alright game that could have gone unnoticed if it wasn't Darksiders. It brings nothing new to the table and for a hack & slash is very limited in scope. The combat is nice and fluid but the camera and controls not as much. It doesn't always play well with m&k because the devs didn't put much effort into it.
The progression system is very simplistic and quite grindy for what it provides.
The familiar navigational mechanics are a nice addition, they make Genesis feel like a part of the series even for a spin-off.
They priced it right, which is rare nowadays, and I'm sure this will bring them plenty of sales. I could see a sequel happening starring Death and Fury.
This is on-point.
I wouldn't care for this if it weren't for the co-op: it's rather enjoyable to play with my girlfriend, splitscreen games are rare enough for this to be a very welcome addition.
Yeah.. eating my words there, I ended up uninstalling this after two hours-ish of gameplay, it was just plain boring to play Nothing really feels good, the game is not that difficult.. We were kinda yawning and saw no point powering through the boredom.
There's nothing remarkable about this game, too many things are missing at once, it feels like a mobile/budget game in that respect. It would be a 5/10 game, perhaps 6/10 if you take its light price into consideration. It's no Gauntlet, which we ended up playing

finished and must say it turned into a solid game, pretty much a fleshed out darksiders game. combat was fantastic and strife is pretty much deadpool, and once his arsenal opens up is fun to play but very op. i still think his style dosent work in a full solo game unless they modify his style but i doubt it, its strange he debuted in this game which makes me feel they designed him with this game in mind.
the way to play is on hard difficulty, very challenging on bosses but worth it
Darksiders Genesis is a well priced game that expands the lore of a beloved universe. It doesn’t revolutionize the Hack & Slash subgenre in any way. But if you are a fan of the series, you definitely don’t want to miss it. Having seen Airship Syndicate at work, I’m looking forward to a Death and Fury iteration in this formula.
Pros:
+ Gorgeous artwork
+ Fluid and satisfying combat system
+ Good voice acting and music
+ Price
Cons:
– Poorly implemented m&k controls
– Camera issues
– Plenty of bugs

Well priced?
How does the cost of the game influence your opinion on the game?
Rage 2 was 1USD so it rocks!!!!
Witcher 3 I tried to like the game since it's really outstanding in every aspect but I just can't since it cost me 1000 USD.
It doesn't influence my opinion about the quality of the game. But it can be a positive or negative aspect for those interested in buying the game. I'm also talking about the price in the release window, not the price 10 years down the line...

Because it's a spin-off game, not the next true entry in the saga, and has a budget price to match -- therefore it's better than charging full price? I thought that was easy to understand

Playing it at the moment and it's deeply flawed when comes to camera - perspective and controls. I don't think they can patch it but jumping puzzles are irritating when I can't clearly predict if character is going to land when I want him or not.
Yeah I'm pretty sure that not being able to tell precisely if the platform is on the same level/line/whatever and arbitrary changing controls while clinging to a ledge has more to do than using a shadow to land. Like chapter 7 and all of it's edge jumping puzzles.
sar·casm | \ ˈsär-ˌka-zəm \

2a: a mode of satirical wit depending for its effect on bitter, caustic, and often ironic language that is usually directed against an individual
b: the use or language of sarcasm
Well I spend 20 minutes here, because I couldn't tell how the ledge is in relation to the other ledge I have to grab on. It seems lower but also a little bit closer to the player. But it looks like they are on the same level. Bullshit.
I've read about Leviathan bullshit.
I know it's partly because it's all at the around 20 - 30 degree angle but my mind thinks it's on a straight line to each other.

Tried via GamePass (was added recently). Co-op is enjoyable. Friend and I just cleared act 2 and so far it has been fun to play. Probably closest thing to D3 smoothness. Haven't encounted any bugs (maybe they are fixed or yet to see one) and no issue with camera either. Controller works much better than KBM.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
