Hello. I just grabbed a Samsung Q90R TV with HDR, and I was hoping to connect it to my PC for some HDR couch gaming.

I've connected it via HDMI and everything appears to work, apart from HDR. Windows doesn't seem to recognize the TV supports HDR. In particular under Settings -> Display -> Windows HD Color it says:
- Stream HDR video -> No
- Play HDR games and apps -> No
- Use WCG apps -> No

The cable is HDMI 2.1. Signal is output through my 1080 Ti which supposedly supports HDMI 2.0b, which should be adequate I think.

I can't get it to work, nor can I seem to find any information online. Anyone has experience hooking up their PCs to an HDR TV? Does it work for you? Anyone with a Samsung TV in particular?

Thanks. I figured it out.

In case anyone else runs into the same problem: Deep in the TV settings under External Device Manager there's a setting called Input Signal Plus. Enable that for whatever HDMI input you need it for. Not sure why this is not on by default, but once enabled Windows recognized the TV just fine Smile
