“Proper” or not, they don’t look realistic. Something in the implementations is broken. My guess is that the materials have exaggerated reflectiveness to showcase RTX, at the expense of realism, which is all I care.
Say what you will about the reflections, but DLSS kicks ass in this game. Great image quality (surpassing even native 4K in some aspects, believe it or not!) for the performance benefit.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."

I've never been against "RTX" or the stuff nVidia puts. It's just that the RT part has not been implemented in a manner that is pleasing the eye so far. I have "proper and perfect reflections" in my mirror, but I don't dress my entire house in a mirror surface.

Nice. Too bad the game is shit though.
Hoping for quick support in doom eternal!

Wolfenstein Youngblood - Ray Tracing/VRS/DLSS in id Tech 6 - A Next-Gen Features Showcase?
id Tech 6 - a properly impressive, performant engine gets a ray tracing upgrade, along with the most impressive DLSS support we've seen yet *and* VRS (variable rate shading). It's a showcase of the kind of features we expect to see from the next-gen console, but what kind of results does it deliver here? And just how fast is it?
..:: Life - A sexually transmitted disease which always ends in death. There is currently no known cure::..
They had the engine, they had the franchise and a ton of assets from the previous two games.
A quick buck right? Put in some co-op and level system and it's gotta at least make a couple of mil right?
Well at least the technological showcase is pretty neat. The DLSS implementation is fantastic. Double the framerate and you can barely see a difference. Clearly as this technology evolves it will become more and more viable. A huge deal for consoles especially. 4k 60fps+ with this? No problem, and the average console schmuck won't ever be able to tell the difference.
The raytracing is largely underused though. It's nice when you see it, especially since so many of the surfaces are diffused so it's not straight up mirrors. But most of the time your FPS is halved and you wonder where all the reflections are because you can't see shit.
Now Control, that was a good showcase for raytracing but the DLSS implementation wasn't as great. Just about acceptable.
@Amadeus, too bad nextgen consoles wont have anything like dlss since they’re using AMD gpus. Kinda sad about that, buying the ps5 anyway but would have been nice to have nvidia tech in it. O well
