Ubisoft has filed a lawsuit against the operators of a company called MizuSoft, which it claims has earned thousands of dollars monthly through the sale of Rainbow Six Siege cheat software. MizuSoft promised to help Siege cheaters get away with it by working in subtle ways, including boosting weapon damage, expanding the field of vision, revealing hidden enemies, and providing information on things like enemy location and health.
The cheat makers were charging serious bucks for their services, to the tune of €12 ($13) per day, €30 ($33) per week, or €70 ($77) per month. Despite that ridiculous price, "the Cheating Software has been downloaded and used by R6S players thousands of times," according to the lawsuit, available in full from Polygon. "Ubisoft is also informed and believes that Defendants have made hundreds of thousands of dollars from their distribution of, and sale of licenses to, the Cheating Software."
Year 5 roadmap doesn't look very interesting. A lot of resources are going into the battle passes. Where is the graphics rework and other necessary improvements?
it stopped looking interesting since at least year 4. what graphic reworks do you want for this engine? even the movement seems outdated now after playing apex. with new consoles its time to release a sequel on a current engine.
There's no need for a sequel, the engine can do a lot more. The physics and visuals have been downgraded to be more suitable for esports. I remember that in beta when you threw a c4 on the back-entrance staircase leading to the garage, the destruction was insane.
I stopped playing about a year or a year and a half ago due to the game being hacker ridden with terrible hitreg. How is it these days? Still the same?

No.

But it's the addition of the R6 Membership that has some players unhappy. For $10 per month, or $80 for an annual signup, subscribers get "a continuous stream of premium content that keeps your Ops equipped with the best exclusive gear." Monthly content drops will include "a time-limited Legendary item (sometimes animated for extra flair) [and] an Epic operator bundle," along with montly cosmetic "Bravo packs" and full access to the premium Battle Pass with 10 level skips.
What the fuck has happened. This game now has base game price + in game store + loot boxes + season pass + monthly membership. And it's not even F2P.

Rainbow Six Siege has been out for 9 years, and we've only had Extraction in that time (which sucked). There was also a cancelled R6 game that looked nothing like R6.
We're never, ever going to go back to the way things were. And if we're lucky, and unless this trend dies, we'll see maybe 3-4 more shitty nu-Rainbow Six games in our lifetime.
How disappointing is that? I dislike Ubisoft with a burning passion. Every single thing they touch turns to shit.
