The show became a lot better once it let go the reference to the book and started doing its own thing. Book is great, but hard to film, and the subject matter offers plenty of possibilities anyway. Looking forward to s3!
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
Just finished, really good season. I like where this is headed. Imo better than S1 and S2. Still a bit too slow, should have been 8 episodes instead of 10. 8.3/10
can someone kindly enlight me on how this season starts, and timelines within?
I really am confused by the doubles characters and places now: the recap didn't help like at all.
What exactly didn't u understand? What characters & places?
Spoiler:
Juliana's sister in the "real" world is dead. Trudy we see in the first episodes of s03 came from the other dimension. Why some people can jump from one dimension to another will be explained almost int he end of this season.
Juliana has started having visions or rather memories of what happened to Juliana from the other dimension (I think it was the scene from the very beginning of the first episode, the one in the forest), but she doesn't realize it at first.
Afaik almost everything in the s03 happens in the "real" dimension except for some scenes (Juliana's memories, for instance).
a full-scale invasion in the last episodes of the s03, but it turned out invasion wasn't even possible lol
I guess it was silly to expect this to happen anyway, coz it would require a huge budget to pull it off properly.
This is a huge spoiler if you didn't read the book (although at this point, it won't be in the serie. Will just spoil the book which is awesome)
Spoiler:
Well, the book is not a saga, so it ends by the Reich having "The Bomb", and with Tokyo being nuked and german paratroopers conquering Japan. But they need to extend it, of course, so they are going off script.
It's pretty well done IMO, and I'm REALLY enjoying the show, it's visuals and performances.

I'm just as confused. The main American dude now lives in a pent house, no mention or reference to his son (i know he handed himself in but they're not even going to reference?). The sister is now living in the real world with some woman but seems to be messed up (I know she appeared in the last ep of s2 but again wtf resulted in them living in the forest and why is she so unhappy).. It's as if I missed a few episodes.
Well, I think it's only natural for this to end after a 4th season, they can focus on giving it a satisfying conclusion
As a side note, I'm glad to see how Bosch has proved to be the true flagship series among Amazon Originals, and their founding series, akin to House of Cards in Netflix (hopefully it doesn't end like the latter ) It already outlived both this and Mozart in the Jungle and has already 2 more seasons confirmed (making it 6 total, at least), and I already always thought it was their best offering in quality terms
this "evil" Nazi (concentration camps plans etc) felt really forced, he was never Ok with that. And after Himmler's death, he had a chance to fix all this coz they had nuclear warheads, same as Germany and the American army would have supported him
3) What's up with all this Afro-American propaganda and BCR? BCR was never mentioned in the show before.
4) What the fuck was with the portal in the end? Ridiculous
Finished watching it and yeah, agree with most of the above.
Tho the BCR I have no problem with, it would be weird not to have some sort of Black American Underground movement. Communism is a stretch, but who cares.
The portal, in the end, made no sense to me whatsoever. Not why or how or where from.
It's clear to me, that they made changes to the script last second, to "tie it all up", but that made the last episode just so cringeworthy.
Why did Smith use a train? He has no problems otherwise to use a jet...
Why be on the move during the invasion of the west, period? Shouldn't he be in the Command Center and like ... command?
his Soldier buddy, so He is now the leader and simply "banishes" Nazism, in front of everyone and nobody has an issue?
Fuck me, another show ruined by an abysmal ending.
Bah, they really rushed it and what a shit ending.
Seems 90% of the shows end up this way. Expected better from this.
Also wth was up with all that story progressing outside of the camera's, we barely even got Tagomi on screen.
They could have thrown that childan crap to the background.
What the hell happened in the end? So a bunch of random people decided to travel to a random alternate universe? The war suddenly ending was idiotic also
