I've tried to like this game for like 10 years, but every time i play it, it feels just meh, like a game where the most basic groundwork is there and that there could be potential.

New animations and what looks like very slightly different combat and movement and better clothing isn't gonna "change everything".

What it needs is being able to meet NPC's, do quests, fight people, have people join you perhaps.

It's also the most slowly progressing indie game i've ever seen. How long has it taken them to change the animations slightly, like 3 years?

Compare this to something like Atom RPG and look what they've added to the game in less than 1 year, then laugh your ass off when you see what's added to this game in the same time..

Yes, some games are obviously harder to program and edit, and maybe if it takes like 2-3 years to change animations then its time to scrap it and work on something new and better. But idk, maybe they work on this game for like 2h every other month.

this will never be an interesting game as far as i can tell, the developers just don't seem to have what it takes. the game looks good for the most part, just there is nothing substantial to this game.

play CDDA instead, it is a hundred times more interesting to play even without graphics and multiplayer. or vanilla minecraft, seriously Laughing .. Zomboid is just crazy boring.

the game doesn't even really have proper gore. It needs to be far more gruesome.
